just saw the movie; everybody is under estimating the legs.period.
i cant believe nobody figured this out all month. w.b. arent going for the 5 day. they are going for the 7 day.
magnus this film will increase 100% tops on friday. saturday will have a bigger increase then 19% percent though. and sunday will be bigger then friday.
with 11 million today i see
friday-18.5 million + 65%
saturday: 23.8 million + 29%
sunday:20.2 million -15%
=62.5 million ow
=93.5 million 5 day
+17million monday - 16%
+12.2 million tuesday - 30%
=122.7 million opening
with roughly 135 million heading into to face pirates and around 161-164 million after that weekend, climbing its way up to 250 million total.

Now you just went into very annoying territory, next it'll be WB are going for 30 day numbers and 60 day numbers, just stop.

ah, we shall see.
edit im lookng at batman weekend numbers. its rises went: +65%, +20%, -13%
supes wom isnt AS good, but given that supermans a kid movie, i think were looking at these increases as base. saturdays increase could be particulary large. that would give supes 59 million.

excel...
It will not make $250 million total. You continue to do what I said earlier - no matter how low the 5-Day turns out to be, your legs just happen to increase to give it $250 million total. First, you expected $100 million 5-Day and gave it a 2.5x multiplier to $250 million total. That was reasonable, I guess. Then, with Wednesday numbers, the general projection dropped down to $95 million 5-Day, so your multiplier went up to 2.63x. Now, the 5-Day will be around $90 million, so you jump the multiplier up even more to 2.78x. Batman Begins had a 2.81x multiplier from its 5-Day opening, so basically, you're saying that despite greater competition and WOM not being as great as Batman Begins, it will still achieve a similar multiplier.
And, no, I don't buy the "WOM is better than I expected" crap, because ever since reviews started being released, you've been talking about how it will have excellent WOM. It doesn't have excellent WOM, just good.
There's a point where you just have to throw in the towel and admit defeat.

Dave Poland posted a very succinct analysis. Basically: 250M is not happening.
One box office service is reporting it already as 46% off of the Wednesday opening. But of course, the Wednesday opening was a Tuesday/Wednesday opening. So depending on what the Tuesday numbers actually were – no one has broken them out – the drop is probably not as severe as it seems.
The movie that SR was compared to yesterday was War of the Worlds, which dropped just 32% in its second day. For those on the Batman Begins tip, that film was off 40% on Thursday. Men In Black II was off just 11%.
I guess the real point here is that none of these films cracked $250 million domestic. Worldwide, WotW did best with $591 million, MiBII did $441 million and BB did $371 million.

Magnus wrote: Excel, its not getting to 250m. Its 5-day multiplier can't be above 2.5(and its not breaking 100m 5-day) with POTC2 on its way. POTC2 is too big, and SR just does not have that amazing of WOM. It has good WOM, but its not like BB-WOM.
If it was getting BB-WOM, yes, then it may have been possbile. But it isn't.
Well that is good I ONLY LOVE BATMAN COMICS AND BATMAN MOVIES from DC.
Other comic books and movies from DC suck!!

Speaking of blind superman fanboys, that one guy from BOM is now spinning that SR will now follow FOTR pattern. The other fanboys from imdb and RT think that SR will have a 30 friday number, and a +30 sat numbers too because of how FOTR pattern
