I do, too!
Supes128 will probably predict a range of $20-$50 million for OD. So even if it touches $18 million, he really won't be disappointed. That's why he's so damn unstoppable. He gives out these ranges, that even if the movie doesn't come $50 million within that range, he doesn't see it as some sort of failure.

Wasnt he that one guy in the BOM vs KJ game match who was trying to pass off broad range predictions as his final numbers for the game?I laughed at that when I saw everyone give out their OTH and DVC prediction and saw something odd with him trying to do 60-80 OW DVC

Probably. He gives out these huge ranges for movies he predict. He would give SR a low end of $280-$340 million and a high end of $350-$700 million or more. True story.

The geeks at Chud, although embargoed, are hinting some serious disappointment (hints were: "Lower your expectations", "it ain't that good" and "20 minutes too long").
Should be interesting to see the first negative/iffy geek reviews to hit.

Nick Nunziata didnt think it was that good and Devin thought the last 20min of the film has gotta go. Not a good thing to end your 3rd act in a sour note.

nick nurzaitas nevber liked the movie though, he tried to tell people about 2 months ago he heard it sucked, which seem sto be completely unfounded at this point. that said, the final 20 minutes SOUND slow from what i hear. i have the final 7 pages from thge very first draft, but theyve been totally changed. they were sweet, it a press conference where it was announced superman survived. during the conference lois decides to throw out the final draft of "why the world doesnt need a superman", richard gives up lois to superman. the kid is not even mentioned, either. the final scene is lois walkig down a street in metrpoolis alone, everybody at the press confertence-and she looks up and sees a huge window display of suyperman toys n merch. newly arrived. then she talks to superman, who flys away right as jimmy olsen arrives, just intime to say "miss lane, do you think there might be a chance clark...is superman?" to which lois roles her eyes and says "not in a million years, kiddo". then they drivce away as we pan up and superman flys around.
now it sound slike were geting something slow ala the end of pearl harbour or something.

Quote: Superman's "S" to be Everywhere this Week
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the following announcement saying that you can expect the Superman "S" in many places this week:
The countdown to the Wednesday, June 28, opening of the Warner Bros. Pictures' release "Superman Returns" is underway. After almost a 20-year absence from the big screen, the return of the Man of Steel is being heralded from coast to coast and on land, sea and air.
Look! Up in the sky! Superman's iconic S-Shield -- accompanied by a countdown to the day when "Superman Returns" hits movie theatres nationwide -- will be projected on popular landmarks around the country. The S-Shield will appear at such recognizable sites as Niagara Falls; the Time Warner Center in New York City, where it will be clearly visible from Central Park and other parts of Manhattan; the Queen Mary in Southern California's Long Beach Harbor; the new Fantasy Tower of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas; Chicago's Sears Tower; and the giant Mall of America in Minneapolis. The S-Shield will also be seen in a variety of prominent locations in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Dallas, Denver, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Kansas City.
As befits the Super Hero who can leap tall buildings in a single bound, elite groups of skydivers will leap from airplanes in carefully synchronized jumps above major cities across the U.S. to celebrate the impending release of "Superman Returns." Look! Up in the sky! as skydivers simultaneously take to the air above Boston, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Phoenix and San Francisco on June 26th. In select cities, the skydiving teams will come together to form a human S-Shield as they float down to earth. In other cities, the skydivers will, together, be carrying huge S-Shield banners, which will be clearly visible from the ground.
We invite the press in each market to cover the orchestrated skydives and landmark countdowns. Please contact your Warner Bros. Pictures publicity representative for exact locations, times and other details.
For moviegoers nationwide, "S" marks the opening of "Superman Returns"...coming Wednesday, June 28, to theatres and IMAX everywhere.

It's not grasping you little goof.. There is absolutely NO WAY this movie is THAT Good and I find it funny that not 1 bad review or even a review that actually REVIEWS the movie like it should be traditionally has turned up except for Poland and WB probably had a fit over his review to.. It boils down to critics being "Too Kind" in reviewing this movie because of who it's dedicated to.. From where I'm sitting, this movie probably has some of the worst continuity problems yet for a comicbook movie for being a direct sequel to both SUPERMAN movie's of the 70's, that it's gonna take me to opunch holes in this the size of Krypton next Tuesday when I see this, which I'm off work and will see it around Noon and review it shortly thereafter and really, I can't wait cause I'm sick of hearing about this..

It's not like it's getting perfect 10's or anything BKB, far from it. Most find it to be a good film with it's flaws here and there. WB aint paying for that.

Considering everyting thus far being rammed down our throats over anything that's SUPERMAN RETURNS on the internet plus the Plot, I'd say I've formed enough of an opinion even for the Cast to say this will be a disappointment not to mention the major continutiy errors in this movie to for being a direct sequel to the last 2 movie's.. Next Tuesday at Noon, will see if I'm right or not..

BKB... whenever I see you say that you're going to go see a movie... you never go! You always have to work or some shit...
Oh... and who said that Superman is really THAT good? It has what... like a 6.8 at Rotten Tomatoes... That's good... not great.

we will see a big wedneaday-to-thursday drop.
the midnight and ten pm's are being advertised ON TV. The tv spots are saying "in theaters and imax june 28th-special showings at 10 pm this tuesday".
first time ive ever seen midnights and 10 pm actually advertised before, star wars never mentioned midnight showings in the tv ads.
chip, thats because rt doesnt count reviews that dont give stars. for example, the variety ad is probably the most glowing review on there but it doesnt say 4/4, so it isnt counted. neither is the equally praising time review. it has a 7.5 with the cream of thre crop, which is great.

Most obvious statement ever?
Oh, and about RT... you can't say that Superman is GREAT. You can say that it is good. But it's not getting overwhelmingly great reviews
