Good episode once again.
Bree. Haha. you gotta Love her.
I didn't understand why people found her son and husband so dislikable until recent episodes, I guess I'm slow to pick up on things

All three of them (Minus Eva) got nominated for Best Actress in the Golden Globes.
I wonder who's going to win. I seriously hope Marcia Cross (Bree) wins.

I think Marcia has the best chance at winning. She is the best one on the show in my opinion.

Come to think of it, Bree is probaly the only character on the show I actually like. Marcia Cross is doing a hell of a job with the character.

I dunno, I love all of them.
Gabrielle is fun to follow, though I don't know where they plan to go with her story now...
Lynette... I doubt she's really anyone's favorite, but so many could relate to her.
Bree.... you just love her after a while, she's really one of the funniest!
Susan.... my favorite, cuz she keeps embarassing herself and she is the most desperate of the housewives.
And I recently started to takle a liking to Edie as well.

Bree is the queen desperate in my opinion, Susan tries so hard to be the queen, but like her character, she fails to match the queenness of Bree.

Heh well of course Bree seems more fun, she's George Costanza of DH.
Characters like Jack on Lost or Susan on D.H. tend to seem a bit boring, but they are the cornerstone of the show, they provide the anchor of ethicalness, niceness, charm and such that lets the other characters go wild and act nuts. Without them Locke, Bree, and others would just seem weird. It's a thankless job but the most important one on shows like this.
So if by "queen" you mean central character, then it is undeniably Susan. But if by queen you mean biggest flamboyant type who dominates scenes, then yes it's Bree, she's fun.

Last episode was seen by 21.56 million viewers.
That's pretty damn low! Maybe a 2-3 million drop in viewers would have been normal but this was a drop of around 6-7 million viewers.
Was the Survivor Vanuatu finale on Sunday? That could be the reason. If not, then I'd worry.

Yeah, this episode went directly against the second half of the Survivor Finale. That would account for lower than average numbers.

Desperate housewives still beat out survivor in ratings though according to Entertainment weekly.

I know it was pre-empted in the DC area until midnight, because the Redskins game was aired instead. I'm pretty sure my market (the DC one) is pretty large, which could've decreased viewers slightly, coupled with the Survivor finale.

A lot of people are travelling and stuff leading up to Christmas, students doing exams too, I would expect some shows to take a dip in ratings.

this was one of the most watched sundays of the year. i think DH's temporary decline is absolute ok against the survivor finale

Ya, I realize that too now!
Infact, with CBS, NBC, and WB all with repeats tomorrow, Housewives should have it's easiest and one of its biggest victories so far. Hopefully the viewers will bump back up to the 27-28 million range.

I found tonights episode really well done. I was thinking they were going to go with another more underhanded way of resolving the nannycam storyline so I'm glad they went with what they did. Gabrielle burning the passport at the end was expected, but I found her character more likeable tonight than in the past.
Paul still creeps me out, and if I were Zach I'd be planning my escape to Mexico or as far away from him as possible. Glad Julie told off Susan in that she has been the Mother in recent times - OT: Shades of Jack telling off Grace in Jack & Bobby (for the 3 people who watch that). I'm liking the fact that Susan and Mike are still together but would like to see more of Mike's past, his is one we haven't really heard that much on and it is really interesting. Love, love, love Bree. She rocks. "Andrew, Danielle. Come out and see Daddy fornicate". She's always good for a quote or two an episode. I didn't even feel bad for Rex when he was laying there after surgery and Bree told him that he was going to be eviscerated - I was actually cheering her on.
Now for the wait....

Great episode. As usual Bree rules, but I'm actually starting to like all 4 of leading Housewives.

I recorded it and it got cut off in the end....
It got cut off right when Gabrielle finds the passport and the papers...
What does she do with them?
Does it show anything else?
O, actually the last thing I saw were police knocking on Huber's door...what happened... did it just end there?
GREAT episode.... you'd think they would give us some filler episodes, which this was shaping up to be, but they keep on shocking!!!!

Gabrielle didn't burn the papers. She tossed his passport into the fire.
Carlos is in jail because apparently he and his business partner (Tanaka) have been done some illegal activities with regards to their business and since Tanaka fled the country, only Carlos gets to go to jail. He says he's innocent, but I'm thinking something in those papers had to be pretty damn incriminating if a) he wanted to burn him and b) Gabrielle had a sudden turn about in wanting him home to burn his passport.
John...I think the last we heard of him he broke up with Danielle and wanted to get back with Gabrielle, but by that point Gabrielle had told John's mother that they had an affair and his mother didn't seem too pleased. I think that relationship is on hiatus, but I imagine they'll find something else for John to do.
