Appeals helped Italian clubs.

Juve serie b -17
Fiorentina serie a -19
Lazio serie a -11
MIlan serie a -8, CL preliminaries

They can fuck themselves. Hopefully UEFA does the right thing, and penalize them as well.

One can only hope. At least Lazio/Fiorentina weren't given back any European spots.

The dismantlement of Juve can now go on....

The Italian injustice system worked to perfection again. They should ban all italian clubs from european competitions

What a fucking joke. Milan might as well have not been penalised.

Well from what ive heard, what Milan have been punished for, should not really have incurred any punishment. They were not really involved in the match fixing scam, what they have been implicated in is having the lions-share of tv rights because of berlusconi . . not from profiting from the match fixing

This round up has some interesting tidbits:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/s ... index.html

Possible Ronaldo-Adriano swap, some more info on Bayern ratcheting up their interest in Rudd, some other transfer rumors

And for Bodrul:

"Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol could sell midfielder Michael Carrick for the right price. The midfielder has been a target for Manchester United and Jol insists £20 million maybe enough to sell him. -- talksoccer.net"

No way will they get 20m for Carrick, he ain't that good. althou if Rudd goes United may bid that high.

Given, Carrick may not be worth 20m, but we are not a selling club we are just putting a price on Carrick that we know is not a respective valuation, we know this will turn Man U off continuing to pursue him. Not only that, he's one of our most important players.

At this moment I would say things are looking quite bleak for any Manchester Utd fans out there (Nebs?) No replacement found for Roy Keane so far. Ruud destined to leave, Ronaldo seemingly unhappy, maybe on his way after Valencia asking Ferguson to name his price for him, Torres saying he's not going to leave Atheletico, atleast for a year . .

The lack o' obvious Keene replacement is the only one that strikes me. The rest I can't figure, but then I do follow this from afar. From over here at least, I can't help but wonder if this is simply a case where Ferguson thinks he's fine otherwise as long as the injuries don't pile up again. Though it does seem like they could use another striker. Maybe he's serious about keeping Ruud.

Bargain of the summer, seriously this guy is quite underrated. But still. he would have chosen Liverpool over Man U, everytime I think - has been a Liverpool fan since he was a kid.

I think Ferguson has said unless somebody matches their valuation of Ruud, he will not leave for leave. Although if Man U can rap up a big name striker im certain they will let Ruud leave for a knockdown price.

We never wanted him

Seriously all he wanted was big money, Newcastle were the only team offering him atleast what Chelsea had been paying him. Mugs. I hope he has an "Owen" type situation now, not because I dont like him, but because newcastle are idiots. With Owen out till christmas and Shearer retired, do they even have any strikers right now?

If Berlusconi is your president, then you're probably the most corrupt club in all Italia...

UEFA is holding an emergency panel meeting to discuss the proposed slate of Italian entries.

And it finally looks like The Chimbonda situation is heading for final showdown:

Yes, if you are wondering I followed Wigan last year, the semi-cinderella thing was interesting and I got hooked.

It would appear Ferguson's comments yesterday were but a smokescreen or an attempt to get Bayern to match. Ruud goes to Real.

Milan decision has been put off:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... 91&cc=5739

What I wonder is if this means they feel it is a lost cause, or if they need the extra time to to come up with something they are sure will get past the CAS. Either way I'm thinking there will be a definite rule adopted to prevent a submission like this in the future. That and I bet they were hoping the FIGC woiuld not hand them this hot potato.

Ruuds on his way then, although it seems ManU are still trying to beat out a higher price for Ruud.

And the money for Ruud (and then some) is immediately spent!

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... 57&cc=5739

ManU is on the verge of its first major signing, Carrick from Tottenham.

Wigan will really struggle this season, there has been a quite bad bleeding of talent to other clubs.
