Well Germany did give them money back in 1946. They shouldn't be broke or anything.

After seeing it, I must say this will be a big disappointment box-office. I'm sure it'll feel too long to many, many people, and it is absolutely not a crowd-pleaser. I say it won't reach $200M. PotC2 will destroy it next weekend...... 60%+ drop.

Problem with SR is that it tries to appeal to all demos, but what that results into is alot of people liking it, not loving it.

After the crowd reaction at my showing this afternoon, I'd definitely be worried about legs. The crowd wasn't really into it, and talk on the way out was mixed. Everybody agreed that it was too long, though.

I see no reason why Pirates won't crush it next weekend.

I think the question of legs won't be how badly it gets crushed next weekend, but how it does on the weekday numbers and on the weekends after its 2nd.

55%+ drop next week is bound, and it could come close to 60% honestly. But the legs will be seen if it can stablize after the big drop.

But if next weekend's drop is 67%, it won't matter wether it stabilizes or not.

Wow, Superman REturns is getting killed over at IMDB. I think the legs for this film will be very similar to MR. It will have a good opening, but it will drop like a stone afterwards.

Dammit, how much longer until Wednesday's numbers?

Hmm, this just appeared on Thehotbutton.com (Dave Poland's site)
"Word Has It That Superman Returns' Tuesday Night Screenings Starting At 10pm Did Between $3m & $4m And The Wednesday Number Is Looking Like Something Just Under $10 Million, aka Almost Exactly King Kong Numbers"

If that is true...OMG.

I'd like to know where they are getting the 10mill number from? If that is the case, then it needs a monster weekend...MONSTER....

Well, well, well...

It did well. It's just not going to make $250 million.
