Post HOSTAGE thread (open on 2123 theaters)
HOSTAGE is from the director of Nid de guepes(US title: THE NEST), which is Harry Knowles' favorite movie.

HOSTAGE's target audience has crossover with ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13. But I think that HOSTAGE should do better, because it get Bruce Willis.

My prediction:
11/32

US trailer

No one predict Bruce Willis' movie? :(

Anyway, Miramax chairman Harvey Weinstein acquired North American rights shortly after it began production and seeing 40 minutes of footage....Good sign for me.

Opening: $12.0 million
Total: $33.6 million

Just saw the trailer, and it looks great. However, movies like this tend to do just okay and never really do that great, so I'm going with Cellular numbers on this one, considering it's also being released in January.

Moves to 3/11
http://boxofficemojo.com/schedule/?view=changes&p=.htm

It means that MINDHUNTERS ( another Miramax's movie) would be delayed again.

The tagline is hysterically awful.

"On March 11, there will be no negotiation."

They probably mean no negotiation to get your money back after you complain to the theater owner over paying to see this tripe

Damn, I saw at least three commercials on three different channels today, there's a lot for this. I wouldn't want to see it much but there isn't much out right now and the director's last movie, Nid de Guepes, was one of the coolest action movies I've seen in a long time. I'd guess it does about 15/40 at this point.

Eeeew, this looks like shit run over twice.

Hilariously bad.

Or it might just be a good movie.
