Superman back down to #5 and SR dropped down to #8 so basically what Killumanti said that the front page had alot to do with Superman's high buzz on the chart. Not that I care or use yahoo buzz for factoring movies since theres way too many deciding factors on it
I guess DP07 will bump Superman down again since he loves using that chart alot

Actually I said it was because of fans looking for advance tickets.
It's funny to see Unfaithful at the top of the list, looks like alot of women out there have alot of cheating husbands or vice versa and wanna find out what the hell to do about it.

Or it could be that women are looking for Unfaithful because too many of their geeky husbands are too busy looking for movies like X-men,Batman,Ghost Rider and Superman as indicated by the yahoo buzz bin

Looks like alot of closet homosexual husbands out there, judging by the fact that they're looking for Superman.

Obviously there will be plenty of ads close to release, like with every big blockbuster. Don't take my "lean back" comment too literally. My point was WB has to do more to lure people to the theaters with Superman.

44 is still great at this point. It was obviously going to decline you don't have an increase like that without it being a one day fluke. However, the overall trend at this is impressive IMO.

This guy clearly is wrong for this role.. He doesn't have "IT".. He doesn't have the right build, He doesn't have that Hardened Manly look like Reeve's had as well as being intimidating.. I mean, Singer really must be getting his rocks off with the costume he gave for this guy.. A Rubber Suit??? Hell, Singer practically copied Donner's movie's right down to CGI Marlon Brando and old theme music, why didn't he just use Reeve's old Cloth Superman Costume for Continuity purposes???

I've said it before and I'll say it again - WB's marketing & licensing departments are almost begging for the jokes...

I totally agree with you. He looks like the soap opera actor that he is. And that's NOT a good thing. It has me curious as to just how good an actor he truly is.

Just watched Trailer 2 on RT. Routh looks the part, but his voice is a little thin and squeaky for Superman. If Routh were going to be so great, then why does the trailer have so little of him? It's all Spacey.

Hi and Welcome Ashwani!
Many of us think it will do lower than $250M, but $250M is a reasonable number. (not a penny over though. )

Here is my take on it.
I saw Brandon Routh at Showest and hes certainly got the body for Superman. What he lacks is the face. He doesn't need to be 10 years older. Just 2 or 3 years will make the difference.
Superman is the voice of wisdom but at the same time, hes meant to be young .. meant to look young. he is meant to be somewhat of a babyface. Brandon seems to have all of that but what he lacks is authority, something Superman also had.
Christopher Reeve i think was a bit too old for Superman but what made him great was that he just .. fit right into it. He had the authority, and the intimidation. I guess we'll have to see how Brandon is when the film finally opens.

It's just like Brokeback's "saliva for lubrication" scene, or the "dis-robing scene" in The Crying Game. While showing those sequences in the trailers would have been a great marketing move, you need to save something special and unexpected for the film itself.
In all seriousness, the complete lack of Routh acting on display is one of the primary reasons I'm skeptical about this film.

What were the point of the cards, anyway? If they're trying to sell the movie to a younger audience, I must say that there are some seriously disturbed people working at the Warner Bros ad department.

Magnus101 wrote: Wow webby, 33 posts in two days. Looks like someone is starting to get obsessed with KJ.
Call it bottled up posting fever.
Anyway, my predicts:
Wednesday: $29.5 million
Thursday: $16.8 million
Friday: $26 million
Saturday: $30 million
Sunday: $23.4 million
3-Day: $79.4 million
5-Day: $125.7 million
Maybe it is just wishful thinking, seeing that I am really looking forward to the film, but I really think SR can do this. Its ad campaign has been good so far, but there's still a lot that could happen before June 28, especially if the "gay Superman" thing gets blown out of proportion and people respond by not going.
At any rate, it will be crushed by Pirates the next weekend.
