I'm really pulling for the Suns to win tonight. But I know it's going to be extremely hard to win tonight...

Go Clippers! They're playing from behind right now, but I'm hoping for a strong comeback to close out those damn Suns.

Deserving win by the Mavericks. They managed to keep their composure and the lead for almost the entire game when the Spurs were pushing, instead of getting cracked by their monkey. I think they've got a really decent shot at the title, as the Pistons aren't really firing on all at this point. To be clear I still predict the Pistons will win, but it should be a close final assuming they both make it.

Suns are gonna win it, up by 19 with 9 min left.

They seem to rock teams in game 7's

So, Suns/Mavs and Pist/Heat

Suns/Mavs COULD go to 7... but if it does, the Suns will pull it out. But if it's any less, I think Dallas should take it.

But the Pistons WILL win, in either 4/5/6/7

Doesn't matter

Fuck! My poor Clippers , damn Raja Bell and the 8 second violation in Game 5 is going to cost them the series.

For round two, I'm going with:

Detroit in 5 over Cleveland
Miami in 7 over New Jersey
Dallas in 6 over San Antonio
Clippers in 6 over Phoenix

I think it's looking like a Detroit vs. Dallas Finals.

Checking in on my prediction abilities for round 2... I was 3-1 this round. A great call on Dallas, but those pesky Suns ruined a perfect record.

Combined with my 6-2 from round 1, I am 9-3.

For my next round predictions:

Detroit over Miami in 6
Dallas over Phoenix in 5

This last round was a fantastic round of basketball. That Spurs vs. Mavs series should go down as one of the all time great playoff series. Unfortunately, I was rooting for the Spurs, and thought they blew it with that last foul against Dirk! Anyhow, with 3 game 7's, this was a fun round! I think this round should be anti-climatic as I don't see either series going 7 games.

Damn, I have no team to root for now  What a great comeback that would've been if Spurs won, down by 20 at one point going against a Mavs team that had 80%+ FG shooting in the first quarter.

Heat probably wont be a match for Pistons, they might get a couple close ones though. Pistons in 6

Suns would need to be almost flawless with their outside shots to have a chance with a Mavs team that is playing just all around great ball. Again though, they might steal a couple. Mavs in 6

I'm that way in the West... I don't like the Mavs or Suns. Although, I guess I'll root for the Suns as the Pistons should have an easier time with them. What a difference a few weeks make... it seems like yesterday that it looked like an LA team would be in the WCF no matter what, but then Kobe had to intentionally throw those last few games so he could have a longer off season to do more raping.

On another subject... while watching the Suns-Clippers game tonight, I noticed Steve Nash looks like a slightly more retarded Tom Petty. He and Chris Kaman need a makeover!

On another note... 3 of these 4 teams have never won a Championship, so if the Pistons don't win we'll have a first time champion.

After seeing this pic I think I just remembered I have Nash's rookie card, wonder if I can find it.

Dont worry about Cassell, he'll be fine. He has AI to give him a nice warm bubble bath after the game.

Or he can go do test animations for the next Shrek film, make some extra $$$.

Hmm.... before seeing that I thought that Nash could use a haircut, but now I'm beginning to re-think that. Nothing seems to work for him... long hair, short hair, ballcap.

Maybe a ski mask would work?

I just realized something... those Cavs fans that were gloating a week ago sure disappeared fast, didn't they?

This year has convinced me that the Cavs fans are the worst in the league. They gloat when they're up and disappear when they're down.... no class! :nonono:

Oh, and does anyone else think the conference finals are going to be worse than the semis?

It's going to be impossible to top all the nailbiting series from this last round. I think this round will be relatively boring, and I don't see either going 7 games.

Same.

Wouldn't be shocked to see the Mavs sweep the Suns, honestly.

I think the Suns will steal one, just because they are so streaky they're bound to have one ultra-hot shooting night.

The Pistons are either going to win it easily or tank big. They've played 6 games in 11 days and now have to play every other day. If they're too tired they'll tank and it will only get worse. If they're not too tired, they should handle the Heat easily - who have sucked against the big teams this year, and lost 3 of 4 to Detroit with their only win being a miracle finish.

I think the Detroit/Heat series may be pretty good. I think the Heat will win tonight. They've had a long time to rest, and I think the Pistons are still probably reeling a bit from being taken to the brink. The Pistons should grab the second game, though, which will take it back to Miami split. It'll get pretty interesting at that point. I like the Pistons in six, though.

I'd go with both Detroit and Dallas in 6. Should be a more exciting final than the last couple that Detroit was involved in.
