Game 7! Woot.

I'm not necessarily saying I'm against the Flames, but I think I like the Ducks more. The right team definitley won tonight anyways, they just outplayed the shit out of Calgary. And it would've been sad if Anaheim went out on that bad Selanne call. Should be one hell of a game to decide it.

I want Calgary to win the series, but the Anaheim win is nice simply because I love it when series go to 7 games. It kicks ass.

PEACE, Mike.

It would be awesome if we had a Montreal vs Ottawa series and a Edmonton vs Calgary series. A guaranteed chance at having two Canadian teams in the final four!

Anaheim was robbed on that first goal, so it's fitting that they won. I still think Calgary will win the series, but I'm glad it's going to seven game. Edmonton gets to rest now, while Calgary tires themselves out playing another game. Just what the Oilers need for the next round. ;)

Wow, can you just see it? Calgary vs. Edmonton in the next round? Awesome.

Heh, I knew I'd find Detroit fans saying that Hemsky's goal wasn't an actual goal, and Edmonton fans saying it was a goal.

Go Oilers! Glad I watched the third period.

Actually... I have yet to see an Edmonton fan say it was a goal.

Carolina won in OT off of a deflected shot, so they've got the series.

I'm not upset though, because Montreal played their butt's off. Watching this game was one hell of a ride.

Now I can focus all of my energy into Ottawa, Edmonton and hopefully Calgary in the playoffs!

PEACE, Mike.

Too bad, eh, Mike? I though the Habs had it after they won the first two, but I guess losing Koivu was too big a blow. Oh well.

Just one series left, Calgary vs. Anaheim tomorrow night. I think the Flames will win, setting up an epic second round against the Oilers.

Yeah; I think it's a good thing though, because I would have had a heart attack during game seven. lol. I don't get as upset as some people do with hockey; I tend to be able to put things in perspective and realize this is just an entertainment sport. I will be able to root for the other Canadian teams (without bias... well, not as much... heh) and anxiously await the Habs next season. They have a lot of young players who hold great potential I think. And Montreal has a sweet goalie line-up.

Calgary will win tomorrow, I think. They are killer at home, and will just win the series because I think overall they can really capture something when they really need it. They've been tied or leading the whole series; Anaheim never got ahead.

Oh, and New Jersey will kill Carolina in the 2nd round. *Insert evil laugh smilie*

;)

PEACE, Mike.

Ugh, I just got back from the Montreal game. Heartbreaking loss. The played their asses off.

The crowd was going insane though. Every single seat was filled and every single person was on their feet practically the entire time.

Yes, the playoffs have been off the wall this year. They have been the most entertaining games i have ever seen since i began watching hockey years ago. I think the second round in the EAST is going to eb amazing to watch. While I think Ottawa will beat Buffalo in 6, it will be a fantastic series to watch. And the NJ Carolina series I also think will go in six to NJ, but still, lots of fun.

In the West, I really hope we have an Edmonton Calgary series, that will be just IN-SANE. The province of Alberta will shut down, and it will be just like the old Smythe Division days when these two met every year with the likes of Gretzky, messier and Fuhr took on the likes of Pepplinski, McDonald and MacInnis. I can't wait to see that series...hope Calgary wins tonight!! As for Colorado vs. San Jose, could there be a more unpredicatable series? Both are peaking at the right time and how can you count a team out that has Sakic Blake and a revitalized Theodore. And conversely, how can you say that a team with Thortonon, cheechoo and Marleau out? What a series that could turn out to be.

Can't wait!!!!

Wow, Anaheim just won the series.

That means in the Western conference, ALL underdogs won. And in the Eastern conference, all of the "overdogs" (heh) won.

And the Conference Semifinals are:

Western Conference
> Anaheim vs. Colorado
> San Jose vs. Edmonton

Eastern Conference
> Ottawa vs. Buffalo
> Carolina vs. New Jersey

Weeeeird. I definately predict an Eastern conference cup winner (my pick = New Jersey).

PEACE, Mike.

Yeah, that's crazy. I can't believe the Ducks actually pulled it off, Brysgelov really held his own as the replacement(though he wasn't needed much tonight).

The Flames just sputtered up and died, showing none of the energy of themselves in 2004 or Edmonton this year. This series has been the one I've really cared about the least, I like both teams but I always assumed Calgary would win it without much hassle and that would be it. Anyways, I see it going like this:

West-
Anaheim over Colorado
Edmonton over San Jose

Edmonton over Anaheim

East-
Ottawa over Buffalo
New Jersey over Carolina

New Jersey over Ottawa

New Jersey wins cup over Edmonton.

:D

Seriously though, I think it's possible. The Western Conference has all the weaklings in it now, Edmonton to me has actually looked the strongest. San Jose is good, but the Oilers whooped them in the season series and I think coming off that breezer of a first round the Sharks will be weak.

Edmonton vs Anaheim, well I think Edmonton is just better without much debate. And if Anaheim won, it would mean a rematch with New Jersey in the finals, and I seriously don't think that'll happen.

Woot.

I think Edmonton is definitely the favorite in the West. They knocked off Detroit, the last two teams to do that went to the finals (Anaheim & Calgary). I see them playing either Ottawa or New Jersey, and having a decent chance.

Wow, Calgary just died, didn't they? It's not longer the Red Mile, it's the Dead Mile. Or the Red Mild. Heh.

Whyte Ave. is gonna kick ass compared to that. ;)

Man, the Sens are real morons. They were winning 6-5 with 1 minute left in the 3rd, and they skate around like they have nothing to protect or worry about, and are just slinking around so slowly, and let Buffalo score with 10 seconds left to tie it 6-6. Honestly, they come off as really cocky when they think they can just wing the last minute and do nothing. Now they have to head to overtime, and could lose the first game in the series. *Insert roll-eye smiley* Really stupid mistake.

PEACE, Mike.

And yep, Ottawa lost in overtime. Buffalo wins. Ottawa is really stupid. They did not deserve to win this game.

Ottawa REALLY messed up that game. Poor Emery though, he's trying his best, but as a rookie goalie, its alot to deal with. Those last two goals were absolutely ridiculous. It was an open net on the other side, and they could have finished off the game.

I just checked the stats. Ottawa let in SEVEN goals on 23 shots, while Buffalo let in 6 on 33 shots. So Ottawa let 1 in 3 shots on goal in the net. But Emery shouldn't get all the blame, the Sens were sloppy.
