I hate to say it but I do think Dunleavy has got to go, the guy is such a mix bag, he's starting to play well again but you never know he can go straight to shit in the blink of an eye. I guess Dunleavy and Diogu for Artest. Diogu will turn into a great player, but he's not good for Warriors, he's playing a Center for the team and they need more height, he's not helping the team much, his defense is pretty mediocre.

No question that Kobe is a great individual player, but he has NEVER been a good team player - even when he had other valuable pieces on his team (ie, the Shaq days). Other great players, like Jordan, realize they will never get far into the playoffs as a one person team and find way to involve their teammates and make them better. Kobe has never done this, and likely never will. Kobe has average teammates, and makes them worse. His selfishness led the Lakers to the place they are now...
You can put any other great guard out there ( even Nash ) and they still wont get Lakers farther then what Kobe can. Listen Kobe could for a year or so just be a team player and just give his team more opportunities and just have one or two very mediocre seasons, but the guy wont do that because he doesnt like his team, no question about it, he would probably have gay sex with Shaq to get his old tired ass back to the Lakers.

I think Nash would make the team better in a few years, while they build it up and add pieces. At least a player like that would give them a shot to compete, or develop talent. With Kobe playing the way he does, that team will NEVER have a shot in hell. At least a more unselfish guard would give them a shot for the future. Even if they add a Shaq like player, I still don't think they'll get it done. Kobe has yet to prove that he can be on a winning team without being surrounded by an all-star cast. On another point, look at Jordan's Bulls teams.. besides Scottie Pippen (who I never thought was that great) who did they have?? Jordon took a bunch of so-so players and made them a dominating team... and Jordan never came close to scoring 81 points.

What I would love to see is Iverson and Kobe on the same team... those two would be in a fist fight by halftime over the ball.

Dude. Scottie Pippen is one of the 50 greatest players of ALL TIME. Definitely one of the top 10 greatest defenders of all time. Jordan also had Kukoc in his second run, one of the best European imports (and indeed 6th men) ever. Lets not forget BJ Armstrong, John Paxson, and Steve Kerr, all great outside shooters. And don't underestimate Horace Grant who was an excellent PF option. Who does Kobe have? Smush Parker vs BJ? Odom vs Pippen? Kwame Brown vs Horace Grant?

I've never been a huge Kobe fan but give the man some credit where credit is due. Jordan was a ball hog in his early years also. Kobe still has time to develop.

What a bunch of shit, the refs called every fucking little bump and touch against the Warriors in that 4th quarter. Man that would've been a great win, they played with no J Rich, Dunleavy left the game before the first half was over and they kept Bryant in check until the 4th quarter where the douche goes into god mode. Ugh, im gonna go kill myself now.

Nice comeback win for the Cavs today. LeBron drops in 44 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists. When was the last time Kobe had a stat-line like that eh?

well we got beat up by Miami but they're dicks. They left their starters in with about 5 min left, up by 20, and after we had already emptied our bench. That's not very classy.

Jalen Rose has this year plus next year with contract at around $30m, plus they gave Denver's first round pick. For Davis, *expiring* huge contract, who played for you guys already.

It was quite good trade for both teams.

Man, Detroit is really starting to implode on themselves. Blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead against Miami today. When was the last time the team with the best defence in the league did that? I'm sure they'll still finish the season with a great record, but the championship is no longer in the bag I would think.

It's just their 9th loss on the year. They were due for a loss like this. I don't think it's anything for them to panic over, but that saying I don't think they ever had the championship in the bag. That road still goes through San Antonio.

On my side, the Celtics won again!!!! 19-32 record!!! 8th place here we come.

I never thought that Detroit had the Championship in the bag, but I agree with jmart... it's far from panic time. Despite the lull, they still have the best record in the NBA, and are MILES ahead of anyone in the east, and have practically owned all the top teams in the west (except for Dallas) this year. A 2 point loss on Miami's floor in February is no reason to panic, and the Pistons are not a team that panics.

Detroit is a proven team that turns it up a notch or two during the playoffs - just as San Antonio will. If Detroit gets homecourt advantage over the top west team, I think Detroit will take it easily. Other than that, SA will be the only real threat in the west. Miami is very little threat as they absolutely suck against any team over .500 and will not have home court advantage.

Heh, Cavs lost to a Warriors team that didnt have two of their starters one being Baron Davis who left before the first quarter ended with a minor injury and the other being Troy Murphy.

That Heat win was a fluke, Wade just got hot, scored every shot he put up at the end, the last 17 points Heat scored were from Wade, I guess if you count on that every game then you'll win but thats not happening.

Cavs -- 101
Spurs -- 87

I just don't get it. They lose to a shitty Golden State team missing two starters, then they come right back and whip the world champions. This damn team drives me nuts sometimes.

:nope:

Oh well, this was a great win. LeBron with just another day at the office wirh 44 points, 5 assists, and a few spectacular dunks.

Holy CRAP that was such a long and tiring game. Cavs beat the Celtics 113-109 in double OT. Paul Pierce Pretty much kept the Celts in it by himself with his 50pts. LeBron had 43 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

It's Cleveland, that's why. Cavs got way lucky that Pierce fouled out
