This is going to be your third underprediction since October (after Saw and Closer)
Unless you pull a National Treasure again and turn out to have the closest prediction, hehe

I thought both of those wouldn't have enough mainstream appeal given the types of films that they seemed to be, but I was wrong. (Well, in the case of Closer it seems the marketing tricked many into seeing a movie that wasn't really what they wanted to see). Anyway, I think Ocean's Twelve is different, the marketing is just so clearly weak.

I think that O12 is the kind of a movie that works without too much marketing. However, there is a chance that the legs will be bad, that's true. The movie doesn't seem good to me. On the other hand I wasn't very fond of the first flick either. Nonetheless, I see a huge $40+ million opening for it no matter what. The total gross is a different question whatsoever.

Opening: $45.0 million
Total: $157.5 million
Those are my final predictions. That would give it a $13,600 PTA, and with the holidays, it should be able to do atleast a 3.5x multiplier.

I'm still feeling it for this movie. The cast has been everywhere lately.
Opening: $49.5
Total: $130.0
I do feel a 57% second weekend drop. It will be a bit like I, Robot without the good summer days.

It comes back at RT and currently sits fresh at 63% and 67% COC. The average score is 6.2, so pretty consistent across the board.

I was tempted to lower my prediction but it's more fun to go with earlier gut feeling. If O12 disappoints, I predict the blame will go to it being made like one of those movies (Bounce was one earlier in the year) where the people making it look like they are having too much fun, and not focusing on creating fun for us.

With a decent grade at Yahoo I don't think WOM will be as bad as I feared, so, I'll go with something more similar to the higher of my predictions for its total:
31m/103m

Looks like Nebs has the closest prediction at around 40.0 million. Should we do second week drop predictions too? Im thinking it will drop 55% next week

Well, with the estimated gross of $40,880,000 it's between Nebs and Archie Gates.
As for predicting...just predict the second weekend!
I'll wait for the actuals to do so.

Actual: $39,153,380
Nebs is the winner. Congrats!
Okay, I'll track this movie against Ocean's Eleven from now on.

Ocean's Twelve seems to be following a similar pattern to Ocean's Eleven, thus far. Similar opening weekends, similar PTA's, similar Monday drops. If it holds out the same through the rest of this week, I think that it will have a drop of about 48%, considering that it's more likely to be a tad bit more frontloaded than the first.
2nd Weekend: $20.3 million (-48%)
