Final result

Cadiz Vs. Real Madrid 1:2

Real didn´t play well at all. But Robinho, who came in with 30 minutes left with the score 1-1, was very, very impressive.

Ditto, the second goal was wonderful.

This week´s results:

1. Nebs 28 + (2-1-5-2-0): 38
2. Shad 24 + (5-1-5-2-5): 42
3. Hans 17 + (2-1-2-5-2): 29
4. Dar 10 + (5-0-2-0-0): 17

1. Shad 42

Real Madrid Vs. Celta
Deportivo Coruña Vs. Atlético Madrid

Milan Vs. Siena
Palermo Vs. Inter
Empoli Vs. Juventus

As we already have Portugal on wednesday (and much stronger match - with Luxembourg we just have to figure out how many goals Portugal will score), I recommend rather a match that will represent both me and Shad. Island vs Croatia.

Plus maybe on Sunday, Egypt vs Benin? Representing ahmed. :)

I was thinking in representing Sauron, too. ;) Maybe we could do those two as well.

EDIT: I meant with both matches, like we are doing with England. Sorry if I sounded dumb.

Now they have 3 potential 20goal per season players, but will still do crap.
Newcastle got ripped off BIG TIME. The asking price was £11million according to liverpool.
Also apparently Owen has a get out clause in his contract, so if Newcastle do crap : he's outa' there!

 Yes, that result was very surprising, but I was playing sudoku at the time, so I didn't notice it was the half time results. Congrats by the way, it must have been a pretty good second half.

Yes, that was a great game, I watched it. Pauleta's 1st goal ( Portugla's 3rd) was the best goal I've seen in quite some time.

After that performance, I think reaching the quarter final of WC 2006 is the absolute minimum for Portugal.

I don´t wanna quote "Pulp fiction" , but I really don´t think a home qualification match against Luxembourg is really that significant.

And I fancy Portugal´s chances a lot.

Yes, this match isn't that significant. But if you consider this match, along with their matches in Euro 2004, and the first few matches of the WC 2006 qualifications, you'll find a very good and consistent team.

And frankly, can you find 8 other teams that are better than Portugal at the moment?

Well, Portugal played at home in Euro 2004. I know that is a double edge sword, but most teams tend to do really good in big championships, or at least almost as good as Portugal did. Hell, Korea got to Semis in 2002.

I really like Portugal and I think they are one of the best teams in the world, yeah. But that doesn´t mean they will get to QF. Argentina didn´t pass the first round on 2002, don´t you think they were - are- one of the best teams too? Portugal, methinks, tends too underperform, quite as Spain does. They are going to need more than being their usual good, and there other factors like the draw, form of the key players, etc... don´t you think It´s a bit too early to make any predictions? Even if it´s fun... ;)

Actually I made my predictions around 3 months ago. I don't think it's too early, These are currently the best teams in the world.

1: Argentina
2: England
3: Brazil
4-8: Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, France (assuming Zidane does really really well)
