Not too familiar with Portuguese footy to be honest. Would be much more comfortable doing: EPL - 3 matches (most likely Chelsea/ManU/Liverpool/Arsenal matches aswell as derby matches)
LL - 3 matches (most likely Barca/Real/Deportivo/Valencia/Villareal matches)
SA- 3 matches (Juve/AC/Inter/Sampdoria matches)
Wouldn't mind doing Bundesliga.

Well, Mourinho would have never trained Chelsea in the first place if he wasn't given all that money by Abramovich ;)

Murinho is great coach, but IMO a team with Lampard, Robben, Duff, Terry, Cole, Drogba and Crespo,... can win the EPL without even having a coach.

Don't get me wrong, Chelsea are a great team, but this season will be bloody tough for them. Did anyone see their first match on Sunday? I bet Mourinho was fuming after that. If no-one saw it, they were shit. Just about won 1-0 agianst Wigan. They got desperate at the end, luckily they got away with an injury time goal against a newly promoted team. They were very very lucky in the end. Mourinho in his end of match interview said they didn't deserve the win. If they did not win it would be VERY VERY embarrasing. Now i'm wishing we played them first game of the season
The problem with Arse/ManU last season was that they didn't take Chelsea seriously. Man U concentrating on Arsenal and vice versa, until around Christmas when Chelsea kicked into 1st place and commanded. Fergie looks as if he's got his man back with Van Nistelrooy, so seriously I could see them pushing Chelsea all the way this season. Arsenal I think are falling back from their once heights, Spurs/Middlesbrough and Liverpool all doing great at the moment all potential title challengers in the future, and atm top 4 contenders.

Apart from Drogba (very very overrated)and Robben, The rest were there from before under the Ranieri regime.

I refute that, Mourinho with a couple of unknown players won UEFA Cup, and the champions league with FC Porto, he proved more than once that he can do wonders with "no Stars" players; when he went to FC Porto he was training Uniao de Leiria , and he left the team in 2nd place in the middle of the championship. So i can assume he really is THAT good.

IMO, these are the real achievements of Mourinho, the ones he will be remembered for. And I have said that he is a great coach. But in Chlesea, it's a whole different situation, the team is too good to be beaten. It was a lock that Chelsea were going to win the EPL. I'm going to say something that MANY people will not accept and attack me for, but anyway, that's how I feel.

IMO, Chlesea lost the champions league BECAUSE of Mourinho. By that time, he was so arrogant and full of himself, he didn't the flaws in his team. In the second leg against Liverpool, Chlesea HAD to score, they had like 86 minutes to do it, but the defense of Liverpool was so good. What did Mourinho do? Keep Robben off the field for about 70 minutes, and let him play for only 20 minutes. Needless to say, in those 20 minutes Chelsea had more chances to score than they had in the whole match. I think that's the main reason for Chelsea's loss.

I don't think so. I think Man U and Arsenal began taking Chelsea seriously 2 years ago. Chelsea was second for the 2003/2004 season. Anyway, I hope you're right, I would love to see Man U win the title this year.

BTW I've just finished watching Egypt vs Portugal in a friendly match. Portugal won 2-0. Egypt was pretty bad, and Portugal was fine.

I know he was recovering from injury, but he seemed pretty good in those 20 minutes. I think he could have at least played the whole second half.

I watch the EPL and Spanish league on a weekly basis, the Champions league starting the second round, and I'll start watching the Italian League this year. And Frankly I can't find any player better than Lampard and Robben. Who do you think is the best player right now?

No. It has been a 2 horse race for the last 7 years. I'm sure fergie even said they didn't take Chelsea seriously (or it may have been a pundit) For the last 7/8 years teams(not chairmans/owners) similar to Chelsea : Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle that have been 'threatening' but did not even come close in the end, including Chelsea, especially 2003/2004 season where Abromovich took over, and his millions didn't win nothing. Im sure the big 2 did not expect Chelsea to run away with it like that.

Robben is the best signing Chelsea have made (our manager rates him as the best in the world), closely followed by Makalele. Also I think the reason he didn't play too much against Liverpool was because he was back from an injury. If I remember rightly, he missed the first leg, came back for the second leg but was out of form.

Did Mido play? How was he? Mido is already a legend at Spurs. Great fan reaction on the stands towards him. I just hope maybe in the January window, we can sign him permantly. The loan ends next summer and the quicker we buy him, the cheaper it would cost.

Actually, think Ronaldinho is clearly better than both Lampard and Robben at the moment.

And in other news, Baros on his way to Aston Villa...atleast that's the rumour I heard. After EC I'd never give up on him, but seemingly he's not that good in Liverpool system.

his time at Liverpool was dire, he should have gone last season, he was to leave last summer but after a great Euro 2004 he new manager kept him. He never really performed for them.

Ah, that goal. Remember on Eurosport that it was selected as best goal of all time from European Championships. Would include it in top 5 overall as well.

Yes, Mido played and as usual, he was the best player in the Egyptian team. I'm glad he's popular right now, I was very happy that he scored the first goal for Tottenham this season (but then again, when I watched the goal multiple times, I think it was actually an own goal).

I really hope he stays in Tottenham, Mido's main problem was that he changed teams too much. Ajax, Roma, Marseille, Tottenham, in only 3 seasons. He even played 3 months in Spain, and I can't remember the team he played for.

I would put Ronaldinho as the 4th best, after Lampard, Robben, Adriano. Talent wise, Ronaldinho's clearly the best. But his main problem was that, unlike the 2003/2004 season, last year he had a lot of ups and downs. One game he's doing everything, the other he's doing almost nothing. But Lampard and Robben are very very consistent.

Anyway, I still think Ronladinho's first goal in Chelsea in the second leg of their CL league is the best goal as I've seen last year.

On a side note, I was expecting a LOT more from Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo last season, but they both let me down. They were not bad or anything, but after what they did in Euro 2004, I have to say they weren't as good as I hoped.

That was Celta.

He was considered to be very talented but also kind of childish and very mercurial and volatile. He was also very young back then, though.

Riquelme has 15 goals this season and has the most assists of la liga, he took argentina to the confed final, he beat brazil in the qualifications, he took a team like villareal to reserve a champions league ticket next season, he was beind Forlan being top scorer.

Lampard? ok, Where do we start?

1-EPL
2- England Carling Cup
3- Champions League semi final
4- 13 goals in the EPL
5- Quarter final of Euro 2004 ( that Portugal match could really have gone either way)
6- The most consistent player last season, I really can't recall him playing a bad game.

Mark my words, Lampard & Rooney will take England to the final of next year's world cup, but unfortunately, I think they will beaten by Argentina in that final

As for my standards:

1- Talent
2- Usefulness to the team
3- Consistency
4- Championships won
5- Fair play
