Warner Bros. announced Tuesday that it is skedding sneaks of "The Polar Express" in about 500 theaters Saturday. Pic opens Nov. 10.

Newspaper ads are slated to run this week to bring in auds to the 4 p.m. shows of the Christmas toontoon. Warners distribdistrib prexyprexy Dan Fellman said the goal of the sneaks was "to get the word of mouth out there."

Asked if the studio is be wary of going up against another animation blockbuster, Fellman said, "I think Tom Hanks and Robert Zemeckis will bring them in."

I don't know Arch. When I first came here I tried to link a pic from my computer and after resizing it a million times, it still gave me the response that you are presently getting!

I think that for the mo' the only avatars you can attach are from off-site! I may be wrong, but that is what I am meant to understand!

Btw, nice to see you back here! How are the exams going? Also, you seem well-informed about films and programmes and such! Do you know if and when 'Lost' will be debuting in Oceania? Have you heard anything, because I have not!

If you want a bigger pic it needs to be uploaded somewhere else, not at WOKJ. If you have the pic that you want uploaded then do the following:

1. Right-click on the picture and go to "properties"
2. Copy the URL of the picture
3. Go to your "profile" and paste the URL in "Link to off-site Avatar"
4. Click "submit"

That's it.

Oh and I can't remove my avatar, I have to keep up the image of having the most disturbing avatar on the boards

I've tried that and it didn't work before........it works now LOL......

If people choose to post in it then fine, the theater counts and this are different enough.

Lets just keep the discussion on Polar ... because I for one am kind of shocked that they are blatently attempting to do this.

They must really think they have a great movie.

All the sneaks are going to be around 4pm....its actually a smart move because they KNOW Incredibles will sell out at that time and they want all the overflow to hit Polar Express and hopefully spread some WOM before it opens on Weds...

Trust me its going to need all the help it can get...

Polar Express needs good WOM to do well, otherwise, it's going to get crushed by the competition (Incredibles and Spongebob). I don't blame WB for having sneak previews.

I cant believe how pathetic WB are. Why release this in between Incredibles and Spongebob!!! Its suicide!!!!!!

They could have atleast released it on the Thanksgiving weekend. A big weekend all to itself and then a new life during Christmas - seeing that its a Christmas flick!!!

It looks like a beautiful film, i dont think it needs that much publicity, just as much as a nornmal film, as when the Incredibles heat has died down, people will go to the theatres to see a more realistic film.
