that's really not good for Sith, only 2% less than Madagascar. It's not even gonna make $15M during the 3 day week. I'm starting to get a bad feeling about it's drop this weekend. It could exceed 55%, which would suck.

:???: Don't see how you reach that conclusion of not making 15M for the weekend.

That's actually the same drop that Attack of the Clones had, so that's good. :)

Why? Attack of the Clones fell 70.8% on the Tuesday after Memorial Day. So Sith had a slightly better hold then Clones did.

I think he meant $15m over Tues-Thurs, but that's a good hold for Sith, IMO.

Overall decent drops. Summer effect is in, so Friday increases will be smaller.

Sith is going to break Shrek 2's record.

I think $24 to $26m is a good bet. Either way its going to be well over $300m by the end of the weekend.

Those are some low predictions for Sith. I am thinking more along the lines of 28-29 million.

Not meaning to challenge you, but how do you figure that? That would be a drop of less than 50% from Memorial Day weekend. Wouldn't that be surprising rather than expected?

Also I think it would have to struggle to get $15 from Tues to Thurs, with 4.4 on Tues. I'd expect it to dip a little Wed, and bounce back Thurs (best case scenario) which would even it out, and give it around $13. So it could happen, but it looks to me like it'll fall short.

Yeah, but I'm basing it on the fact that it is coming off Memorial Day. Attack of the Clones fell 56% the week after memorial day. A similar drop will put Sith at about 25 (assuming it has a slightly better hold than AOTC).

It might hold slightly better perhaps a 53% drop.

It is now falling further behind TPMs daily gross even though it is on 4300 more screens. By next week it will start to fall behind AOTC.

It will fall to 3.9-4 mil today, 4 mil on Thursday. Even with a 70% rise on Friday ( bigger than AOTC or TPM) it will only get to 6.8 mil on Friday. A 75% climb on Saturday( bigger than TPM or AOTC) to 11.9 then a 25% drop to 8.9 means the max it will take next weekend is $27.6, but it will probably be closer to 6.4 + 10.6 + 7.6 = 24.6 then 2.3 for Monday( within 100k of AOTC) and its will start to fall behind AOTC.

I calculated the $25 million based on a 54% drop. So I already gave it a slightly better hold. We'll see.

The Phantom Menace, Shrek 1 and 2, Bruce Almighty didn't drop over 50% though. Maybe ROTS will follow some of thier pattern. :)

Now those legs are coming! :nutso:
