Great job ROTS!!!!

If ROTS is able to maintain a friday jump similar to the past two Star Wars films, and not be smaller, then it will obviously have a great weekend.

PEACE, Mike ;)

It was gonna have a great weekend anyway whther it increased daily or not.. You folks have to understand that people DO have to work and don't have time to drop everything to go see this movie again like kids out of school can..

Even a lame cow can fill three buckets worth of milk every now and then.

J/k. Congrats on getting it right. Perhaps, it is only films containing not-so-jolly green giants and humanoid aliens that veer you off the right way.

Expect lower friday increases all around.

why :???: when was the last time a film that opened a wknd before Memorial Day did not increase 80% (excluding episode 1 do to awesome wk-days) :?:

Because schools got out a lot earlier then they usually do. Seniors got out this week instead of the traditional week after Memorial Day, a first for Portland. It's definitely a big impact. There's no denying that it's great that Star Wars didn't drop, but keep in mind it was the lowest increase of the top 10, even less then Unleashed. That said, other movies will certainly increase less then it on Friday from losing hundreds of screens.

It increased the least because it is easily making the most, if the film was truely as frontloaded as a lot were saying it was throughout the wk, than it would have droped again yesterday with or without kids in school.

That is an excellent point. There is only so much Sith will increase or decrease on the weekdays. It is making a killing right now so to say that because it fell 2% more than Clones did on the same day three years, that makes it frontloaded, that is silly. It is also making 50% more in dollars than Clones did three years ago. So this film is way ahead of Clones in every way, regardless of whether or not the percentages say it dropped or not. Clones had a 140 mill going into Memorial Day weekend, Sith destroyed that in 5 days. So Sith is doing very well, and no matter what way you look at it, you cannot deny it. I don't get those that try to paint a gloomy picture of Sith's performance. A 41 million dollar week (4 days) is fucking incredible. We all know it is going to be at around 270 or higher after Memorial weekend is over. How is any of this "bad."?

It's not, but folks seem content in trying to paint a doom and gloom picture of it when there's no need to.. Hell, if this film somehow manages to not make it to 400 Million, folks will be screaming it's a disappointment.. Can you believe that?? I never would of thought I'd see the day when we would argue about the merits of a film like SW amking 300 Milion dolars like it was with AOTC..
