$9,079,570 <-- From BOM.
Great job ROTS!!!!
If ROTS is able to maintain a friday jump similar to the past two Star Wars films, and not be smaller, then it will obviously have a great weekend.

yup it is true.
A 5% increase is seriously excellent. Phantom Menace and Clones both dropped on the same day. =D>

No reason to doubt BOG, they get actuals as well. Just don't display them detailed as BOM.
And as for number...

There's a reason for this: Many people took an early holiday for MMDWknd. There was a greater audience Thursday and Wednesday.

Anybody know why ALL the movies increased for Thursday? Is that typical of a Thursday before a 3 day weekend?

Impressive, Most Impressive!
Though I do note that all films increased, and actually at greater precentages. None the less, an excellent number to hang up there.
And let me also add the required conspiracy theory note: interesting that the increase served to push it over 200M and thus tie the record......
Congrats ROTS.
