That's a whole lot of theaters for the new releases! The Interpreter, House of Wax, and Kingdom of Heaven are going to lose 500+ theaters now.

Wow, that's great for Madagascar considering the competition. The Incredibles and Shark Tale had little competition for theaters when they were released.

Yay! So my prediction that it would become the next film to pass 4,000 theatres was correct =D>
As if that's surprising, heh.
Anyways, great, a $15k avg. will give it $61.5M, which is can do.

All the movies that are in its 4th or 5th week of release dropped very hard.

I think Kingdom of Heaven's chances to reach $50 million are dead by now. Should top out at around $48-49 million with a multiplier of around 2.5. Pretty bad, I'd say.
House of Wax and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy dropped insane amounts of theatres as well. xXx2's theatre count isn't in yet, but I bet it'll drop over 1,000 as well.

Wow. Lots of big falls, but the drops won't be terrible considering it is a holiday weekend.

That's a very strong theater count for Madagascar (which, by the way, is the third best opening ever) and The Longest Yard (which is the 17th best ever). I think both can get over $50 million (4-day) this weekend.

That's certainly achievable for Madagascar, but I think The Longest Yard simply does not have enough room or appeal (unlike many of Sandler's previous films, this is probably unappealing to most women) to make $50M. I think $40M is more reasonable.

What's up with the boost for MC2? Is a sneak attached or something?
Nice for Madagascar. It should (unfortunately) beat Sith....

I see Madagascar making $55m to $60m. But I see The Longest Yard making about $35m to $40m.

Are the sneaks for Cinderella Man attached to The Interpreter or Kicking and Screaming?

I heard they are being attached to Kicking & Screaming. Someone on here said at their theatre the money is being attached to Kicking & Screaming, and I'm assuming that would be consistent with all theatres, since sneaks are never split among more than one film, as far as I know.
Hmm.
PEACE, Mike

I believe it was Animosity Reigns who said that they are attached to Kicking & Screaming at his theatre.
