The Thread Where BKB Predicts 500 Million for SITH..
And that's 500 Million Domestically to.. I think considering that this movie has some great legs for a weekeday based on Mondays numbers, followed by it passing 300 Million after Memorial Day Weekend and only being out just over 10 days, I think it clearly has a very good chance at it.. I certainly don't see Madagascar or BATMAN inflicting that much punishment on SITH when they arrive in theatres.. We shall see.. Any takers?? Besides, this will make up for my HULK 400 Million prediction that went completely Awry back in the BOM days..

My prerelease prediction was $462M.
It looks like it might clear $450M. Why not? Count me in. \:D/

Nothing like a little competition.. If it gets to 470 Million and stops, then looks like he's the winner.. 500 Million just sounds better than 470 Million, but will see..

I don't think SW3 will reach $500M. Even with a 3.0 multiplier (Clones had a 2.75 one, and that had pretty good legs already), it would still stop at $475M. I'm basing the multiplier on the opening 4-day weekend.
I don't see it having excellent legs, perhaps a little better than AotC, but that's it.

I don't think som but $450 million is not out of the question. If it has minimal drops it could come very close to the $500 million mark, but it won't pass it. $480 could be possible, but we are going to have to wait and see how it performs for the next few weeks.

I'd be satisfied if it just hit 500 Million.. It's a hunch.. I see this film having remarkable legs throughtout the Summer and it's only approaching Memorial Day and the film will damn near have passed 300 Million by Tuesday..

Now why do you say that?? It stands just as good a chance as it does at making 400 Million.. I think it's gonna be out awhile, unless of course the thing to do now is to push em out on DVD as quick as possible compared to 1997 when TITANIC was out which was for 6 months.. That day and age is over and I tjhink if TITANIC were released today in 2005, it wouldn't of stayed in theatres for 6 months thus not making the 600 Million it did..

I say that because it needed a better hold to reach 500m. But, I'll wait until next week to see if you come around.
