Huh? You're waiting for me to see it?

Sunday probably.

Not just that, expecting you to like it as well. ;)

I probably will. I liked AOTC quite a bit and much more then I expected. It was my favorite of the SW films. I'm sure many will disagree with this, but I think that (assuming I like ROTS) Lucas has finally done it right with past couple films.

Are people expecting me to take their "It will have a really rubbish multiplier!" shit seriously?
Come on now; its a fanboy fueled film thats getting amazing word of mouth, and not just any kind of fanboy fueled film - one with fans willing to see it many times over the course of its first few weeks. Theres even an audience who hate crowded cinemas and are holding back till later in its run [me] to see it.

The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones had OVER a 10 times multiplier (from their first day) and since Revenge of the Sith is easily better than both and most people agree and has beeing good Word of Mouth, it will MOST LIKELY follow these 2 movies steps and have at 12 times multiplier!

I don't think this will beat Titanic, if that is what you are insinuating.

Hopefully if it has a multiplier between Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, it just might!

I'm more with Baumer on this - at the moment. This weekend and next must be ridiculous, with no major letup in week 3 to even consider that an option.

If your point is simply that the number is at least in play as an extreme outside possibility given the opening, I hear you.

I would just love to see this gross 400 mill. If your theory holds true that with it's opening day multiplier being ten, then it will gross 500 mill, and that would be amazing. It would actually be unpredented.....a fifth sequel being the second highest grossing film of all time....wow!! But let's not get carried away. Let's see it make 150 mill this weekend first, adn go from there.

Yeah, I do see a possibility for both $400 million and $500 million, but if we start talking about it now, people might be dissapointed if it ends up ONLY making $399 million. :-$

Record numbers and grosses are great, but still we're all curious how the rest of the weekend will be.
