I think last year American Idol may have been overexposed, they had so many ancilliary specials, Final 5 interviews, final 3 goes home, The best of the worst. This year it seemed more streamlined and focused. Which I think is the way it should be done. I will only have 5 days of no idol as Canadian Idol starts it's third season on May 30.

Bo vs. Carrie should be an interesting showdown. I favor Bo, but have no idea how the vote will turn out.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say that there are more pop/rock fans that watch the show than Country, so I'd guess Bo will take it - unless he vomits on stage, does a line of coke, and calls Simon a dillhole next week.
As for the show, it's like Survivor... as long as their are interesting contestants it will be a hit, and will not overstay it's welcome. Heck, I won't mention Mav's name, but we've got people who hate the show, but still like to join our discussions. That's a testament to just how interesting of a show it is!

This is it.. Tonight The Final American Idol Competition between Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood: Who takes it??  The Rocker or the Country Singer who probably would've benefitted more on the show "Nashville All Stars" on USA Network which is just a ripoff of AmAlrighterican Idol..
