Could think make $100 million in it's three day weekend? if this is true a 100m opening is not going to be a possiblility its guaranteed, I only say this becuase the film is opening on a thursday instead of the usual wednesday opening. I still think this is lame and stupied..the same thing happened to the Matrix opening on Thurs, if these movies would actually open on Friday they could have beat Spidermans record... It seems like Lucas would want the record, but oh well...and no i dont think it has a chance for a 100 weekend now due to thurs opening
:???: its selling more tickets than the matrix reloaded at a much more rappid rate, why would it fall under 100m at this point :???: Reloaded managed a 91m opening which is 95m adjusted. So if star wars is indeed selling more tickets at a much more rappid rate than 100m opening wknd is garanteed. Also I think starwars pulls in way more of the general movie going crowd than the matrix ever did.

If anything, this is gonna pass 100 Million like a walk in the park and do so rather quickly if tickets are selling this good several weeks in advance..
yep I think advanced ticket sales will realy start to pick up in may though

Wow, this may challenge Harry Potter 3 in frontloaded-ness. It’s probably going to have a record opening day and then fall like a stone.

Nah.. This movie is feeling too much like the Old Trilogy for it to fall like a stone.. I sense this movie is gonna dominate the summer in a big way and make enough $$$ to wipe out the National Debt..

The Uptown has been selling them since Friday.
It's a theater that people used to sleep outside of for months just for tickets. Suprisingly, no sold out shows yet.

The second midnight show out of 3 (so far) have sold out at my 18-screen theater in Albany, NY
That's a 385-seater (the biggest) and a 305-seater. One more 365-seater is still on sale.

The only sold outs i know of are at my local theater the ODEON KILMARNOCK, where it opens thursday.
Theres 2 sellouts already for Thursday, and i know they have mutliple sell outs for Friday and Saturday too.
Its all people are talking about; the ads are everywhere; and that multiplex has NEVER recorded this kind of prebook buisness. Prebooking costs more in the UK too than buying upfront.

Is ROTS a universal release? Do you guys get it in Poland the same day we do here in the states?

Hehe
Shrek 2 owns the largest single day ever with $44+ million. SW: ROTS won't beat that.
Spider-Man 2 owns the biggest opening day ($40.4 million)
