Hoppers Predictions
Trailer is out. The less crowded release schedule of March should help it to do better than Elio, but I thought the trailer was just ok, and actually weaker than the first trailer for Elio was back in 2023.
It will need STRONG reviews and lots of marketing to do much more than 100m, IMO.

Re: Hoppers Predictions
Having a movie about rabbits release around Easter time has been a successful strategy in the past. I bet this doubles up Elio, though that is still a far cry from peak pixar numbers.

The concept looks like more of a hit than Elio to me.

This reminds me of an Entourage episode where Vincent Chase's new film is beaten at the box office by a "Pixar bunny movie" lol.
I think it has potential.
"#1 live action movie."

there aren’t any rabbits or bunnies in the trailer though, the protagonist “hops” into the body of what looks like a beaver.
should be more successful than Elio but I don’t know what it’ll take for Pixar to have a big original hit again. Probably not this. Between $100m and $150m would be solid.

I forgot that's the spin they went with!! It echoes what the studios often do

I just watched the trailer and kept thinking when will the bunnies appear
Yes - Elemental numbers at best.
Without sequels Pixar has looked very average for a long time. Even the sequels aren't great but at least make bank.
