 Re: F1 Movie
Weird is they started presales for early imax shows for 6/23 couple of days ago at few theaters and it sold like half the tickets. May be there is some demand as Kosinski did direct Maverick and this looks fun.

 Re: F1 Movie
It's literally endorsed by F1 and the trailer will be playing during every major race so it's smart of them to start presales early. There's a lot of fans who will watch it. Whether it gets the broader mainstream audience will determine what the cap is.

 Re: F1 Movie
It's heavily marketed in F1 circles. I was at the F1 Grand Prix this weekend and the awareness of the film (and IMAX release) is high. It will perform particularly well among the new Drive To Survive fans more so than old timers like myself but I'll opt to see it in IMAX as well.

Shack wrote: Even though it feels like a summer movie I think being the other movie on Wicked Part 2's weekend was the safest play to get men out. M3gan is still a fun combo though. F1 has a huge female fanbase so I doubt they'd counter something like Wicked.

 Re: F1 Movie
With good reviews I think it will hit again for word of mouth and break 200 million.

 Re: F1 Movie
Can't see it going that high but a 150m ceiling is achieveable if reviews are great. Car racing just isn't that popular for moviegoers. I hope it does well but cannot realistically see it clearing $100m.

 Re: F1 Movie
I think $100m is locked - $200m a chance. Plus over $400m OS.

Nothing is locked. Remember Joker 2?
