It still could. The 80s Transformers cartoons are pretty beloved still. But modern Transformers fans could just ignore completely as they wait for the sequels to Rise of the Beasts or Bumblebee.

Yeah, by kids of the 80s and 90s. And not all of them, me particularly. And those kids are now in their 40s and 50s, and they ain't checking out a cartoon at the cinema, especially with THAT trailer. It's so infantile.

But I did see an article about a week ago that suggested it was on for an opening of $40-$50m. I still can't believe it.
