I'm sure kids would have been begging their parents to take them to this. But since they can just watch it on Peacock they'll likely do that and save the money.
I'm glad The Exorcist moved today. Because if I thought it was still opening against Taylor Swift I would have lowered my prediction a massive amount. Everything opening that weekend, including limited releases, should move. Aggh had no idea Freddy's was going day and date. I hope they change that.

I was thinking they would realize how dumb they were being. The last trailer I saw didn't mention Peacock. So I thought maybe they'd change their minds. But I heard the new trailer does mention Peacock? I haven't watched it myself. Maybe it was just a new poster that does.

LOL at Universal. Pulling that and at the same time telling Nolan "We believe in the theatrical experience." Studios really are something!

To be fair, the Halloween sequels both had solid opening weekends because nobody has Peacock.

There are many die-hard Michael Myers fans that were going to need to see him on the big screen. I can see people who want to see FNAF just getting Peacock for that. Plus, if kids want to see it, getting Peacock beats taking the whole family to the movies. That gets expensive.

Not when tracking was already available for it. Bullshit did people predict $100m opening for it based on their own thoughts. But this game has been badly run from the start, so it's no surprise.

But this game has been badly run from the start, so it's no surprise. We predicted Equalizer 3 like when shows have already started and there have been tracking for it. There is also tracking for movies releasing next 3 weeks. Why is the availability of tracking that big a deal. Its not exact science. Look at Barbie. Even after tracking no one thought it was going to open to 162m.

So Shack is giving longer time to predict this movie than all other movies where we get 3 days to predict :-)
I am updating Eras to 210m :-)

Will Taylor Swift influence Killers of the Flower Moon and Five Nights At Freddy's? I was tempted to lower my predictions but I guess those two films lean male. Likely the day and date release of Freddy's has more effect on its box office. I'll update my prediction of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour to $216 million.

Re: WOKJ Monthly Box Office Contest - September/October
Just noticed that something may be off on my scores. The Equalizer 3 - $32M ($34.6M actual) = $3.6M off My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 - $12M ($10.0M actual) = $2.0M off The Nun II - $26M ($32.6M actual) = $6.6M off Think I'm $12.2M off unless I missed something. Not sure how I'm already at 38.3 though I'm used to having some out there predictions .
