A Cinemascores for both movies. I think Barbie is very much happening. And if Oppenheimer hits the high end projection of $86M, it would need a 4.66 multiplier to reach $400M...the exact same multiplier Inception had 13 Julys ago.

It looks like Barbie is not having any saturday boost. Charlie is saying 47,26 for B,O.
Having seen Oppenheimer, I am convinced it will play very strong entire summer. This club wont be easy for either but I would like to see how things go over the weekdays before saying its not happening. For now I am staying in the club.

Barbie with some insane holds on both Sunday & Monday. It appears locked for $550M and has a shot at $600M. Oppenheimer is having very good holds as well, but I don't think it can make it much further than $280-300 million in the long run. That would still be an awesome result for the movie, considering it's based on subject matter that made less than $4 million total in 1989. Lol

Barbie's going to be at $325M+ by Sunday (likely much more) so looking good for the club.
Oppenheimer will keep things interesting. $400M is a stretch goal and will need to really work for it to get to $400M but hope it can get there to make this club happen! Agreed that it's trajectory is likely lower though we need another $400M movie is Spider-verse refuses to get there.

Holy shit, I had no idea of that film, Oppenheimer is practically a remake and what a turn around. Different times and audiences now, also the quality of the films seems incomparable. The 1989 trailer feels like a bad comedy.
