 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
Barbie Mexico OD is 6.3m !!! That is bigger than bonker number Mario had earlier this year. This is despite Oppy taking some PLF screens. Oppy did well around 0.9m OD.
Barbie broke OD record of Endgame in Columbia and is doing crazy everywhere. Brazil will also be crazy level. Oppy is doing well despite facing a hurricane and Latin America is Nolan's weakest market outside Batman trilogy.

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
Barbie global numbers so far from DHD (mostly Thursday but fleshed out):
-China $2.2M -Mexico $6.4M -> Biggest WB opening day ever, 3rd biggest post-pandemic -Brazil $4.9M -> 84% share, biggest WB, and biggest opening day post-pandemic, and 2nd biggest of all time behind only Avengers: Endgame -France $4.5M -Australia $3.4M -> 60% share, biggest opening day of 2023 -Italy $2.4M -Germany $2.4M -Argentina $1.2M -> Biggest opening day ever -Columbia $1.5M -> Biggest opening day ever -Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia -> Biggest opening day of all time for WB -Denmark -> Biggest opening day for WB movie in 13 years -Portugal -> 2nd biggest opening day ever for WB behind only HP8 Pt.2
Seems like Barbie is going to be a phenomenon in LatAm. Crazy that it had the 2nd biggest opening day of all time in Brazil!

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
Oppenheimer Saudi Arabia OD - 1.5m. Only No Way Home has had bigger OD in this market. Its higher than MI7 or FX this year. This is a new market as movie theaters are fairly new.

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
Testament to the strength of the Nolan brand for that Saudi opening. Barbie cross promotion not a factor.

Pretty sure he's talking about Barbie. Looking at Italy/Spain/UK numbers and even france germany seems low. Italy is looking like it might approach 1M admits for the 4-day so germany only doing 700k with previews is just low in comparison imho. That's a much bigger market.

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
Oh, I see...
Italy has often bigger opening weekends than Germany, but Germany is a leggy market and usually beats the Italian totals by far...

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
Relatively to the totals I agree Italy is much faster burning, so Germany can definitely get better total, but Germany usually gets *much* bigger totals. Basically Barbie in germany looks more like good numbers vs rest of western europe looking more like bonkers numbers

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
I like the idea of this thread but realistically I'm already getting confused by the numbers in here being for Barbie or Oppenheimer. Should we just split it? If not everyone needs to just specify each time and correct themselves that they were actually talking about Oppenheimer when they were incorrectly asked about a Barbie number? Or it was actually a Barbie number but not an Oppenheimer number like was interpreted in the thread. Add in 150+ countries and we could have some hijinks in this one. Anyone else confused yet?

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
Barbie new numbers from China, wow!
-Local exhibitors increased screenings on Sat from 9K to 16K. -Sat $2.8M +133% over Fri $1.2M, $4M total -Sun $1.7M presales already -Sun screenings now 25K (+56% vs Sat and +178% vs Fri)
Looks like we could have a BIG run building up there too!

Okay, BARBIE still looking like 700k admissions ($7.5m), but OPIE is looking like 475k now ($6.25m). Excluding previews, OPIE might even be No. 1 in b.o.

 Re: Barbenheimer INTL
nm.
Anyway Amazing OS OW for both the movies. Oppenheimer is bit of a shocker as the most optimistic expectation was around 300m depending on Korea breaking out. Here it looks like it will make 300m without korea. I am not expecting anything from Japan and China is terrible for hollywood movies.
