She's not bad. It's just the film (and her co-star) that's awful.

Seems WB have hit a colossal grand slam with this film. The social media reactions are insanely positive.

They had better still fire Ezra Miller after this comes out.

Not happening. They’re saying it ends the SnyderVerse. Good riddance.
Bring on the DCU

If the film is huge then no chance in hell. They've already spent a lot on a PR campaign to rehabilitate his image, including smartly (and deviously) having people associated with the film "wish him well on his recovery" as if he had a disease when all he was was a psychotic abuser. The average person will read that and assume he went to rehab, big deal, move on. There was initial talk of recasting him but that seems to have been PR as well to make it look like the studio was doing something about his situation.

Hwood has not changed one bit after #metoo and all the virtue-signalling of the last decade. Money still trumps morals.

What he did was easily as bad as Jonathan Majors. They better have the same fate.

Damn am I glad to have this in the draft! That's an excellent trailer. It's definitely going to benefit from the same crossover potential that No Way Home benefitted from. How much so we'll see, but it's definitely there. The trailer goes back to 2013's Man of Steel, and even all the way back to 1989. The buzz for this is far-reaching. Putting numbers to it is impossible apart from saying they're going to be big.

Apparently this film was going to include flashes to Brando’s Jor-el, Cesar Romero’s Joker, Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman and Grant Gunston’s Flash but then the idea was nixed.

Got my tickets for the early Monday screening.

Flash ticket sales are on and its also not uber strong. Its double Indy 5 but that is not a great comp. it looks weaker than spiderverse and of course Guardians.

The way things are only Spider-verse looks like guaranteed breakout. Rest are all a big question at the moment.

Sort of felt like the last one was better. Ezra's "No" was super cheesy.

Spiderverse is going to take most of the buzz away from this but maybe it can pull a Guardians if it is indeed as good as people have been saying and have legs despite a subdued OW.

The internet spazzing out is one thing, but do audiences really care about Michael Keaton as Batman? He is the third (fourth if you count the Bruce Wayne kid cameo in Joker) actor to play Batman in the last five and a half years. They're really running it into the ground.

I do think there are some people that care. He was the original Batman and only Bale could compete in terms of iconicness.

The original Batman and Batman Returns both scored the OW records at the time so were huge events.

Feels a bit like Tobey coming back to Spider-man 14 years later from his first. In this case it's 31 years so definitely feel there's a curiosity factor.

TBH, the only reason Flash isn't in Shazam territory of interest for me and likely some others is because Keaton is in there. It's a unique angle that's different from the usual superhero movies. Ezra couldn't carry this by himself.

At least Flash is around double Indy presales. So it wins 80s nostalgia race. Keaton > Indy :-)

But they may both lose to TMNT That's Turtle Power!

I know you are kidding but TMNT we have seen multiple times recently. Even if they make a "good movie" I doubt it will be a presales monster. Its more comparable to Transformers which has seen little hype.

The audiences that spend money? Yes.

Running Batman into the ground...



Warners has been running Batman into the ground since 2005. This isn't new. People aren't suddenly going to be tired of Batman.

Running Batman into the ground since only 2005? We only had 3 Batmans in a 5 year period from 1992-1997 (+85 episodes over that same time of the animated cartoon for a 4th Batman). Feels like WB hasn't yet reached George Clooney Batman level of running something into the ground.

How can batman be run to the ground considering Reeves's batman was very well received and did 370m domestic !!! And it was as dark as SH movies can be.

I think given Ben's Batman didn't even get his own film Batman actually doesn't feel as overdone as it should.

Issue for Flash is Ezra Miller. If it were a new actor without all the drama, this movie could have had even bigger hype. Question is can Keaton/Affleck pull in the audience. I feel confident older audience will come for Keaton. Its father's day weekend as well. That crowd will be there.
