 Scream 6 Weekend
5.7m previews.
Seems really good. It would hit 50 if it followed the first’s trajectory. Mid 40s should be safe.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
It's a great start. Won't follow the last one because that was a holiday weekend. But if it follows Halloween Ends it's almost 43 Million and there's no way the multiple will be as bad as that. So 45 Million is safe.

Excellent result. Over $45m opening is crazy good. I remember the disappointment I felt when Scream 4 flopped lol crazy to see the franchise go from a sub-40m grosser to 40m+ opener.

65 - $1.225m
Honestly doesn't seem that bad but given it seems like the movie isn't good I doubt it's weekend will be good.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
That should lead to over 10m which is about as much as anyone thought it would do.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
Great for Scream. Movie looks like a lot of fun so its great to (hopefully) have the franchise back in the century club.
65 is a flop, but it could have been worse I guess.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
A $45m debut will ensure $100m. It’s not going to fall off a cliff because it’s actually good and WOM should be solid at the least.
65 should get to $10m which is good for it. The budget is low so it should eek out a small profit globally.

I guess audiences had not yet fully embraced 90s nostalgia back then. The sane thing happened to the American Pie sequel one year later.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
Any previews for Champions? It's in over 3,000 theatres this weekend. I suppose not all movies have previews.

$19.3m for Scream. A little more frontloaded than 5 but still very good #.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
It was the best Scream since the first. Well done. I can see it having relatively great legs for the horror franchise.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
Indeed. It’s going to be the opposite of the second and third films which opened huge and then ran out of steam. Legs should be good for a horror sequel.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
Idk if I see Scream having a 2.7 multiplier like the previous one (that had a holiday weekend) but yeah WoM should be good. Maybe 2.6 multiplier and 115m finish.

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
4 weekends in a row grossing $93M+. Amazing box office run so far!
Puss dropped 40% but its PTA only dropped 14.4%. It was hard not to have a big drop as it lost 29.8% of its total theater count. Still an incredible total result.
Scream actual number reported: $44,447,270

 Re: Scream 6 Weekend
sadly it lost a bunch of theaters rapidly so it won't reach 110m.
