Yes, I was surprised to see an 85% week-to-week and a 77% daily drop for the Pandorans. But then it's probably fine coming out of the holidays.

It's not beating TGM domestically.

I know I keep saying this each week but seems like weekend 5 will be the one we see if it can get to TGM or not. Looks like weekends will be the big decider so if it gets a big enough hold from MLK could have the momentum to get there. Mentioned it in another thread, we may not know who wins 2022 for at least a month if its close. The past weekend multiplier it needs is very reasonable and doable so I'm not in the immediate no camp.

A film, no matter how good its hold is, is never guaranteed to continue having good holds so we probably won't know if it will pass TGM until it has already done so

It's not getting another $200 million from today. No chance.

Otto had a $705,000 Tuesday in 637 theaters. WOM is growing it should have a great MLK weekend. That's literally double its Monday gross and 73% of its Sunday gross.

Even without the theatrical expansion, it probably would have gone up in its 3day gross purely from WOM.

The four week deal between Disney and the theaters is now over. Theaters are now free to reduce the premium screens for Avatar 2. Knock at the Cabin premieres on February 3, 2023, which is the end of the 7th week of Avatar 2. Some premium screens will go to Knock at the Cabin. Ant-man 3 will take away most if not all of the premium screens by February 17, 2023, which is the end of the 9th week of Avatar 2. I don't see how Avatar 2 can catch up to Top Gun 2 when Knock at the Cabin and Ant-man 3 takes premium screens away from Avatar 2.
