Post Belated comedy sequels
I saw that video of happy Gilmore./Adam Sandler talking shit with Christopher McDonald/shooter mcgavin and how it has millions of views and it dawned on me...

Belated sequels to Sandler big films like Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and Big Daddy would be fucking huge domestically. Where are they ?

Netflix would have to buy the rights for them. And they probably figure they'll get the same amount of views with any Sander movie they put out.

Austin Powers 4 is a mystery. Myers should be able to spoof the Craig series pretty easily, but he just doesn't seem into it.

These won't happen and I wish they don't because Netflix output of Sandler is abysmal even though they are big hits (always a mystery to me).

Austin Powers 4 is also not happening. The creative team and Myers pretty much closed the gate on that.

I think a lot of Sandler films are kind of one offs and kind of capsules to his period of success. Though within a year we got Borat, Bill and Ted, and Coming 2 America, I think Reese is doing another Legally Blonde, and they just announced another Napoleon Dynamite and Miss Congeniality. So we might be in their renaissance now.

These would be my picks:

Goonies 2
Gremlins 3
Ferris Bueller
The Breakfast Club
Beetlejuice 2
Triplets

At the moment it's just talks about Napoleon Dynamite 2 but it seems obvious one will happen eventually. That honestly could have been pretty big (maybe close to a 100 Million grosser) if they'd done it sooner after the first one.

I still want a White Chicks 2. :P Also Romy & Michele 2. That might be my most wanted. They've waited so long on this one but I'd still be into revisiting these characters.

Austin 4 should have happened. Its probably too late now.

Triplets would have worked (I believe they were going to add Eddie Murphy at one stage).

So what about a sequel to Something About Mary?

I wouldn't want a Mary sequel without Diaz who was retired even before she had a baby with the Good Charlotte guy

I like Romy and Michelle 2

Space balls 3: the search for space balls 2. It was the actual working title in the early 2000s before they went for that animated show
