Quite annoying. Shazam fell between Captain Marvel and Endgame so it obviously struggled... And now Birds of Prey falls victim to Bad Boys and Sonic?? The hell?

Fantasy Island did better than I expected, though it will die fast. I'm going to lose faith in Blumhouse if they keep greenlighting trash.

Great numbers all around.

So will Sonic play like a family movie or a frontloaded video game movie? The actual 3-day weekend number could be anywhere from $55 to $75M.

friday was boosted due to VD. So no way it comes close to 75m. I think 55m+ will happen. PS for saturday was down from friday(10% down) but walk ups should be better. I am thinking 19-20m saturday and 16-17m. So 56-58m 3 day and 67-70m over 4 days.

fantasy island will drop today and photograph looks like dropping quite a bit.

Birds of Prey did not fail because of competition. it was already doomed.

They'll be back with a winner with Invisible Man.

Will be Jim Carrey's first $100 m movie in 11 years and if it does over $181 m will become his 3rd biggest film ever behind Bruce Almighty and The Grinch.

I do feel this was heavily helped as the go to family movie. Dr. Dolittle's legs were a key indicator of the family audience.

Carey’s actual good in this. Has a lot of fun and feels like more prime Carrey. The legs should be good for this.

Yep Jim Carrey is in top retro 90's form in the movie, and honestly he's easily the best part of it. The movie overall is pretty good though and should get strong WOM from kids/family audiences.

Yeah it instantly elevates when Carey enters. WOM is good from what I’ve seen.
