 Marvel's The Runaways
What would you do if you found out your parents were supervillians?
I'm a big fan of the comic and have been eagerly awaiting a movie adaptation since my teenage years. I still wish it was a film, but will happily take the series.
It premires on Hulu today. I will probably wait until later in the week, after I finish Vice Principals 2, but will post my thoughts as soon as I can.

I've been binging this. It's pretty good. It's still finding its footing a bit but the cast has a really nice chemistry. On episode 6 now.

 Re: Marvel's The Runaways
I finished this last night and overall I really enjoyed the series. This and The Gifted have definitely impressed me the most as far as superhero television goes. Maybe not on par with something like Legion, but really solid stuff either way. The kids all have great chemistry with eachother and I like the more in depth, complex characterizations of the parents as the villains.
I love the fact that its not as black and white as your typical comicbook/superhero movie or series and I am very much looking forward to Season 2.

 Re: Marvel's The Runaways
I forgot Hulu did a week by week episode distribution, so I held off until all were released. Finally started it tonight and really enjoyed the first episode. Spoilers (I read all the comics) Alex is such a twat and I love it. Great foreshadowing while giving nothing away. Also , Carolina/Niko is my #1 TV shipping fantasy going forward. I was always super bummed Car had to leave Earth right as they were getting together.

OK so I like the show, we're almost done with season 2...
But man, it seems like the show is trying REALLY hard to make the parents redeemable? Nah, man. It's not going to happen. They all suck ass. Stop showing me their story 60% of the time.

Third season was a little rushed. But had a nice surprise cameo and finished decent. Really wish they would've pushed it to 13 episodes.

 Re: Marvel's The Runaways
I enjoyed Season 3, but it was easily the weakest of the seasons to me, especially the second half with the witches plot. It did kind of end perfectly though as a series finale.
