I say Colts Cowboys Chargers and Bears. I think the Colts are dangerous with Luck playing so well and I don't think the Texans are that good. They beat a lot of bad teams.

Would love to see the Rams and Chiefs rematch for the Superbowl. But I think we are more likely to see the Pats defeat the Bears in a 20-13 borefest.

I don’t want to see this but it’ll be Bears vs Ravens

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
I can't see the Ravens advancing to the SB with a rookie QB. They could beat the Chargers, but winning in NE and KC will be difficult. I don't think a rookie QB has ever made it to the SB. Also, the Ravens defense is good but not good enough to carry a team like in 2001. We shall see about the Bears, their road isn't easy having to beat the Rams and then probably winning in the super dome against the Saints. I think the Saints make it to the SB. I am hoping for Chiefs-Saints which should be entertaining.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... e-jackson/If the Bengals hire Hue Jackson, their fans should revolt to the tune of no one showing up for their first game. Like no one. The stadium should be completely empty because that would be an insult to end all insults.

I’d love it. Baker will stare him down after every touchdown next year.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Chiefs vs Patriots, it should be a great game. The Pats are bad on the road and the Chiefs play great at home. I give the Chiefs an edge. The last half of the NFC match up is still to be determined, although the Eagles are looking good so far.

I'm going Chiefs v Saints. Though I wouldn't mind Brady playing in the SB again.

The Patriots organization sold their soul to the devil. Only explanation

Ugh, really wanted Mahomes in the Bowl vs the Rams. A rematch of the best regular season game of the year. So tired of the Patriots.

Glad Brady got a ninth trip to the Super Bowl. What an amazing career!

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Patriots: “Nobody believed in us. We overcame all the stacked odds that the world threw at us. Our city hasn’t won a world title in 3 months so we’re gonna do it for our fans who are suffering.”
This is why no one likes Boston teams. They make the superbowl EVERY YEAR but still act like this tortured fanbase who just can’t catch a break.
Major congrats to the Rams though. Will be heavily rooting for the first LA superbowl win!

I actually love when the Patriots are in the Super Bowl, even though I'm rooting against them they always make it more interesting.

Major congrats to the Rams though. Will be heavily rooting for the first LA superbowl win! Sounds like your anger is more confusion. Who are you mad at? The Patriots or the Boston fanbase? You attribute that quote to the Patriots saying that it’s coming from them, but then say the fanbase acts like it’s tortured. Pick one to be mad at and go from there. (The actual answer is both, but at least be consistent) Because I can tell you the Boston fanbase is far from feeling tortured. Based on how the Patriots played this year (although they were a Miami fuckup away from a solid 12-4 record), we thought we were playing with house money heading into the playoffs. Turns out Brady might of rope-a-doped us and just didn’t want to get hit as much this year.

I was hoping for a Rams Chiefs rematch but I'll take Rams v Brady. I now have a team to root 100% for in the Superbowl.
Brady

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Read today that Julius Peppers is retiring. I've only been to one Packer game, and the one play I remember is Julius Peppers intercepting the ball and running it back 50 yards for a touchdown. The guys been an awesome football player and done a ton for charity too. I wish there were a lot more like him in the league.
