Nah. Blade Runner's a movie that only matters to film geeks, and Gosling isn't a draw. It'll do okay because of the visual style, but it's not going to appeal to the masses.

Arrival looked better than this but obviously this is a blockbuster sequel. I think if it opens big then the legs won't be great because Denis's style is definitely not blockbuster-y. OUT

This is crossing $100m for sure. Denis's visual style from the teaser guarantees it will be good and I am sure older audience will get this past the mark.

I was at $144 million earlier, but I think I'll join. Kingsman moving up a week will help give it breathing room, and I have faith in Villeneuve to deliver a strong product.

As much as I would love for this happen, especially since I kind of despise Tron: Legacy $172M+ seems a bit too high right now. I think anything over $150M would be great IMO though.

Tron Legacy also came out in December and there were like no other big December movies (Narnia flopped) so if you were going to the movies, that's what there was for general audiences.

Blade Runner's October release date isn't as beneficial, though it's certainly not damning. I don't see a 50m OW for it though, which is what it would need.
