Assure a clinton win by unloading in ohio and Florida I just hope the campaign management doesn't let their guard down thinking they are assured wins in Ohio and Florida. We don't want another Brexit on our hands where the polls were different than the results because people assumed most everyone voted Stay and didn't go out to vote

Remain was not leading and never was. The polls were close, and people interpreted a trend towards remain as a signal that remain would win, but more polls favored Brexit at the end than remain.
Not sure why the Clinton team is not mining the nuggets of political wisdom overflowing throughout this thread. Those political professionals are practicing a form of malpractice utilizing time tested tools and metrics, instead of the uninformed opinions freely given here every few days.

Yeah, the Trumpites constantly bringing up Brexit is a fallacy. The polls for Leave/Remain were very very close throughout. People just didn't really pay attention or didn't want to acknowledge the possibility of Leave winning. In other news, the Trump campaign sent Mike Pence to Utah to campaign today. If that's not a sign of peril, I don't know what is.

Assure a clinton win by unloading in ohio and Florida The Dems don't need Florida or Ohio to win. They're already at more than enough Electoral College votes in states where she has constantly led Trump by more than 5 points. https://ventrellaquest.com/2016/10/24/t ... l-college/

Polls clearly swinging back in DT's favor.

Excel wrote: Polls clearly swinging back in DT's favor. By less than a percentage point, according to Nate Silver. Unless Hillary supporters just stay at home, she's got this. As I said in the article linked above, if you compare states where she is ahead by 5 points or more to states where Trump is 5 points or more ahead, you'll see that she already has the 270 she needs. And in all the states where they are closer than 5% (the ones not colored red or blue in the map above), she's ahead in of all of them except Georgia. Trump is finished.

The question is not if Hillary wins but by how much.....and that could be closer than we think. Trump voters they will go and vote not matter what . Some of the Hillary voters might stay at home and think it is a sure victory anyway.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
I think Trump's sheer awfulness mitigates a lot of the complacency factor. People are eager to get out there and vote against that fucker even if they don't love Hillary.
And Excel, polls are not swinging back towards Trump's favor, so stop with that narrative please. The polls will tighten in the next 13 days I'm sure. Doesn't mean he's anywhere closer to winning.
Trump can win Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Iowa, Arizona, Georgia and Utah and still lose the presidency.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
If he has a 16% chance of winning that's still playing Russian Roulette level so it's scary I guess. I want to say Hillary's perfect campaign team and the full force of the Democrats vs Trump kids, Kellyanne, Rudy and $50 on fliers and duct tape is such a big difference that he'll get crushed in GOTV but maybe psycho passion of his supporters pushes it the other way

The fact that Trump can win so many states is just unbelievable. I would hope they are just blind Republican voters and not lovers of the actual candidate.

There are Republicans who feel a duty to their party before anything else, but there are a lot of people who are actual Trump supporters. It's frightening, at least for me.

I recently just turned my facebook back on for a personal announcement, and almost immediately regret doing so. The amount of Trump crap that is being posted... BY MY FAMILY... is disgusting.

But there is a large undecided segment here, and all the old people haven't voted yet. It will probably be very tight. But I know a handful of usual Republicans that are not voting Trump.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
My aunt actually gave me some pretty convincing reasons as to why she's voting Trump. I couldn't really refute her. I really do follow a conservative ideology and it pains me to vote for Hillary but I just know voting Trump is wrong. I wholeheartedly voted for Romney in my schools mock election in 2012.
Maybe I will look into McMullin.

Chippy wrote: What were her reasons? Sure honey.... There are several. First and foremost, I can not support a woman that stays with a man after he's had multiple affairs. I guess it's trust issues.
While I don't actually practice a certain religion, I was brought up catholic. My religion is basically following the 10 commandments. Now, as a rule, I don't support people on religious beliefs, but she is against evangelists (like Alison), and catholics, etc. I'm not sure the church and politics belong that closely knitted, but I am sure I don't want sharia law or having the words god taken away from us.
Garry and I are middle class. Honestly, we need a break as do so many others.
We believe in 2A.
I am petrified of open borders. I don't agree with a one world order. We are Americans.
Donald Trump is what he is.... for a reason. He has a plan which garry and I hope will benefit us, as well as our family, as it grows.
I don't think abortions up until due date is right, nor is it humane. I have a few different views on this issue actually.
I grew up in a time when us kids were not allowed to be rude or lazy. Our parents were strict. Kids today (not you), don't seen to show any respect. Better education, knowing there will be a job out there for them will hopefully help family's struggling and give kids an opportunity to thrive.
Donald is offering a change, a much needed change, and despite his way of telling it like it is, and all of his money, he seems to represent the average hard working American. Yeah, he can be blunt and off color, but I'm not bothered by it. Hillary bothers me, a lot! !!! I can say that I have to trust trump to pick the best people to surround himself and help lead us back to a better place.
I'm sure I could keep going on, but I'll leave it at this:
Pick one thing you like about hillarys plan, or how she has handled things so far, and see if that is enough for you to let her run the country.
There, I was polite and didn't even cuss or say how I really feel about her. It may not mean much if you are liberal, but I honestly agree with a lot of that. It's the racism and sexism and his inability to not act like a buffoon that turn me off of him.
