 Re: New Christopher Nolan film set for 2017 he better keep doing silly comic/action/scifi/thriller genre stuff as long as he is able to deliver. he can start doing boring historical epics when he is 70. but i don't care too much anyway, i'm not a fan.

Re: New Christopher Nolan film set for 2017 He appears to be adopting the Spielberg stategy, make his name on crowdpleasers and then tossing out the bait in the form of a war movie. I suppose we should be grateful he's not taking the disease route. I wonder how long it will be until we see Nolan's BFG?

Re: New Christopher Nolan film set for 2017 I doubt this is oscar bait. If it was then they would have planned a december limited release with expansion in January. This has prime July release date. Also Mark Rylance said the movie immediately gets into "action" and is not a slow build up war film.
Hopefully the trailer gives us some perspective but this is hard to read at this point.
