I think he only used it twice and referred to himself as a boy, so I didn't understand the horror. I must be a sexist. I thought the speech was fantastic. No matter how old we get, we see our loved one's as they were when we first met. The first time to meet the parents and her hometown, the transition to her work all across the country. Her humility and determination was always a thread through the personal, professional, and political journey. The contrast between the many relationships she has built and the work she has done for the others and the lack of any that shown at the RNC last week. The Old dog still has it. Did you like the video? It did not. All of the complaints about how his story of their courtship was "anti-feminist" are hogwash, honestly. Hillary has an image problem among a large number of voters, and the goal of this speech was to humanize and soften her image. Which I think Bill accomplished and some. Point blank and the period.

Jesus, Trump is ahead +1.1 on the average of national polls, ahead in 5/7 and is +7 in one (LA Times) on realclearpolitics and 538 has him up to 47.5% chance. This shit is real

This shit is real The worst thing you can do is freak out over polls that happen right after a convention. Hillary's polls will bounce up next week too. The polls a month out will tell a clearer story. Of course, who even knows. Trump literally encouraged Russian espionage against the United States this morning. He should be jailed for treason

 Re: Who Will Be President?
I still think there's a chance the polls understate Trump's popularity with "closet" racists.
This is still Hillary's to lose, but she needs to - for the love of God - take these polls seriously. Her 60m interview was very, very meh (and her "apology" on the e-mails did not show accountability). She should focus on the debates, which could be an opportunity to show that Trump is a baffoon. I'd encourage her to provoke him to blow up. Outside the debates, I'd focus on Trump less. Play this campaign like Obama in '08 and '12... with policy and ideas, not criticism.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Milking the first female president aspect more would be nice. At least young people can be passionate about voting for that and just the idea of... making a historical milestone happen

 Re: Who Will Be President?
The first woman president angle was played very well last night; whether it was talked about by the various speakers all evening, regular folk and celebs alike, the majority of delegate representatives from every state during the roll call vote, then during Meryl Streep's 'first women' speech, and finally Clinton's glass ceiling video to close day 2.

Excel wrote: http://www.gq.com/story/obama-greatest-president-legacy?mbid=social_twitter Thanks for the link, but the article is fan fiction. Clinton will look better in history once him and Hillary have left the stage. We don't know the impact of Obama's imperial presidency expansion under executive orders, his expansion of the drone wars, surveillance, transperancy, etc. will have on his final legacy. There may be issues he neglected that will tarnish or destroy his legacy (NSA). Wilson was one of the greats and Truman was one of the worst at this stage in their presidencies. Eventually, Clinton and Obama should rank in the very good range IMO.

Magnificent speech from our President. What I wouldn't do for another term from him.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Copying a Facebook friend's post, as I very much agree: Quote: Tonight feels like a turning point.
When Trump started running, I thought he was funny. Then, I thought he was scary. But after Obama's speech, I just think he's small. Smaller than us.
If that mood carries in the country, it's over.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Electoral-vote.com has finally started their coverage and shows Hillary with a 288-203 lead with OH and FL tied. Oddly shows Hillary with a lead in NC, but Trump with a lead in NV and IA. MS and AZ within reach for Hillary. Hillary has a slim lead in MI and PA -- which will be critical to keep (as Jiffy pointed out in that article he linked... Michael Moore is convinced Trump wins in MI). Some of the state polls are clearly outdated.
Obama and Biden were golden last night. I wish Obama could gift Hillary his oratory abilities.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Clinton can also put GA very much in play; polls already have her within 5 points there.
It was a swing state in 1992 and 1996 with Bill winning narrowly in 92 and then narrowly losing in 96. And Obama came within reach of taking the state in both 08 and 12 as well, as minority groups continue to rise in the state.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Good result for Hillary from the two polls released today. Rasmussen, which always feels to have a Republican bias from past polling, has her up 1%, and Suffolk has her up 9% in PA. I expect the trend to continue, and by next Monday, she should be back up by 5% or so nationally.

Suffolk also has McGinty up above the margin of error, the first since polling began in that race since June 2015. If she can defeat Toomey, it'd be a key victory this November.
