Why does it even look so cheap when it cost as much as it did? They never should have spent so much on this movie.

We see Disney, Spielberg, a spirited young female protagonist, a family film released in summer, etc., and we assume a very strong CinemaScore. But a lot of general moviegoers seem to find it slow and/or overly quaint. Parents might resent shelling out so much for a trip to the movies only for their children to be bored, though the response from older moviegoers attracted by Spielberg may counter this.
I definitely do not expect higher than a B (Tomorrowland) or B+ (Where the Wild Things Are).
