Hugh Dancy could definitely be in the Emmy conversation for his work in this show so far. He's terrifying.

The first two episodes are very strong.

Not feeling it two episodes in. None of the characters are appealing, plus the cult aspect lacks all suspense.
My wife is enjoying it so far though, so I'll at least watch a few more.

I like this so far but don't love it. Great acting (no surprise) and interesting visuals so far.

I liked the second episode and the things they are trying to build, it feels good not great because the overall cult culture needs to be more engaging and haunting. Hugh Dancy is REALLY good but Monaghan and Paul are equally strong, their characters aren't given much to provide that powerhouse performance yet.

Re: The Path (Hulu)
"The Future" is definitely the strongest episode so far, particularly how it advances and further reveals the motivations of the Dancy character.
I wonder if this is doing well for Hulu. I am not sure what their expectations are re: original programming at this relatively nascent stage. I hope we see a second season.

Re: The Path (Hulu)
The first season turned out extremely well, though I am slightly nervous regarding the plot pivot where "the Light" is perhaps real after all and the Aaron Paul character is the founder's true new leader.
I am excited for the second season, though, definitely.

Re: The Path (Hulu)
I just binged the first ten episodes of season 2 in the past two days. I thought for some reason this season had finished already but it looks like there are still 3 more episodes to go this year.
The performances continue to be universally excellent across the board but I'm not finding this season as engaging thus far aside from Sarah's blackmail plot. Michelle Monaghan is probably the standout for me this year while Hugh Dancy stole the show last year.
I do think this show works much better in binge format which makes it stranger that Hulu releases episodes weekly. They do drop entire seasons at a time (they did for "Shut Eye") so not sure why they don't do it with this series (the entire thing was released to press already).
I wonder if it will get a season 3. I feel like this season has gotten almost no buzz or media coverage whatsoever as Hulu seems to have thrown all their efforts into promoting "Handmaid's Tale."

Re: The Path (Hulu)
I dig the second season. Maybe a tad less than the first so far, but they are close. The tremendous acting is definitely the heart of the series. It is fairly standard on an aesthetic level, and the storytelling, while solid, can have dry stretches, but the characters always surprise, disturb, and/or rivet me.
If this is the final season, I hope it is satisfying as a series finale. I agree Hulu did not seem to overly exert itself advertising its return.

Sad to say that I lost interest after binging the first five episodes the last few days. The acting, specifically from Paul, Monaghan and Dancy, is strong, but I wasn't terribly invested in the story. I don't know, maybe I just need to give it another chance down the road, but I didn't have much connection.
