Those scenes are especially helped out by the fact that there have been many films that have come before in the universe and we've grown to like each character for various reasons. They could face tennis balls and I'd still be interested.

See? This is stupid. You're giving Marvel a pass for having shitty villains because you "know" the good guys. Marvel's only good villain has been Loki, and that's only because of his personality. He has brought no threat to them at all.

Also, the scene where he saves the girl from the burning building in Mexico, why couldn't we see him doing that instead of the aftermath? That would've been an awesome 30 second scene.

Snyder has an aversion is heroism, at least when it comes to Superman. Which brings up another point. The movie tells us that most of the world has fallen in love with Superman over the 18 months. Why? All the audience gets is a measly montage.

Serious question. What would qualify as "heroism" to you? I know Superman has not an iconic "plane scene" esque rescue under Snyder, but he has done plenty of good.

You and others really just do not want to like this movie. It's embarrassing.

Serious answer: Saving people. Showing something heroic. Etc.

And yeah, "I just don't want to like this movie." Dumbass.

As much as I don't like the movie, I looooooooooooved this moment. It almost makes up for the logical gap that Superman wouldn't just give the spear to Wonder Woman, especially since she had been holding her own, but he had to do something heroic at some point.

WW clearly wasn't holding her own, LOL - she could barely get near him. WW held him with her laso for Supes to take him out.

You must've missed the moment she cuts off his arm.

Batman pretty much says the same thing and it's at 28%.

Maybe.

It'd still suck, though.

No, I'm giving it (the first Avengers) a pass because it's entertaining.

But I agree, Loki is all personality at this point. And I don't see things getting better with Thanos.

As for the Knightmare scene I was confused always with what Flash says so when I got free ticket yesterday I went to a Eng Sub version and this is what Flash says

Spoiler: show
Listen to me now Bruce. Its Lois Lane. She is the key. Am I too soon? I am too soon. Bruce you were right about him. You were always right to fear him. Fear him. Find us. Find us Bruce.

Its a setup to JL and they probably wanted it to be big and eye-catching than it comes out in the film. The scene also adds to one of the reasons why Bruce wants to unite all of Justice League Members.

That Flash scene in the nightmare (I'm not calling it Knightmare because that's fucking stupid) was so awful, not to mention completely out of nowhere and incoherent. The moment where he's featured while Wonder Woman is looking through the files is much better.

Post Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
It's clear that the movie builds the characters of Batman/Superman as heroes that are questioning their methods. Superman is wondering if his sacrifice is worth it, and Batman is questioning whether he can keep going down the dark path he's on. Both have their moments of realization in the Martha moment and the Doomsday fight. Batman realizes by the end of the film that he no longer needs to be the criminal he thinks he is, and Superman sacrifices everything to defeat Doomsday. I think it all sets up very well for the Justice League.

Best line of the film comes from Martha Kent (Diane Lane)

I recommend you to watch Superman Doomsday, there you could have a hint of where the Justice League might be going and what would probably be happening to Superman after his death

Right, because Batman, who has always been obsessed with his parents and their death, would make no connection to the name of his mother. It's flimsy at worst.

It's just odd that people are complaining the BvS fight is too short?!!? Like, if it was legit 5-10 minutes longer, that would be the complaint, because it's now too long. The problems with the film are all pre-fight, imo. The pacing can be funky, the editing is obviously all over the place, and the JL stuff should've been post funeral. But then people would've complained that the JL stuff felt "stuck in at the end".

Kinda cheesy, but he brings up a few good points. The "I'm a friend of your son" line is a great catch, whether intentional or written as a light moment, it does have more meaning than it appears.

Just in regards to comparing the Superman we have now, and where he began.

It's flimsy that the WORLD'S GREATEST DETECTIVE wouldn't have known about this beforehand. He hates Superman so much, yet did zero research on him? Bullshit. And it's especially bullshit since Lois figured it all out in the first movie! Then again, there isn't a movie if Batman figures it out so they had to turn him into an incompetent moron.

And yes, the fact that the fight stops because of this moment reeks of screenwriters thinking they're being clever when they really aren't. And it's a good thing for Superman that he refers to his mom on a first name basis at that exact moment, instead of calling her mom, ma, mother. Doesn't seem contrived at all.

Right, because he would yell out "mom" to a man who doesn't know his mom. You should be a writer.

As this type of movie goes, I'd say it's about on par with the main smackdown in ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, and not nearly as good as the brawl in FREDDY VS. JASON.
