Am I only one who doesn't like what the posters do to the first post of "crowd reports / screen counts" threads? They command them to post either crowd or screen reports instead of posting reports themselves.

Both Fever Pitch and Sahara are getting 2 screens at AMC Mercado 20. I also checked around the AMC theaters in the bay area as well as L.A., and it seems the screen counts are pretty even between the two, with Sahara being slightly ahead (saw a theater giving it 3 screens, while Fever Pitch is all 1 or 2 screens).
EDIT: However, just checked Scott's theater, and they put Fever Pitch on 2 screens (only 8 showings) and Sahara on only 1 (4 showings). Sin City is losing one and will have 3 screens. Feel like a slow weekend is coming.

Actually xiayun, those were just preliminary showtimes. Here are the real ones.
Fever Pitch is on 2 screens.
Sahara is on 2 screens.
A movie called Smile opens on 1 screen
and by the way, Sin City stays on 4 screens.

Thanks for the correction, Scott. Too bad your theater isn't getting Kung-Fu Hustle. I was hoping to get some crowd reports at your theater and compare it with HOFD, which followed similar release pattern.

It opens here in two weeks, just like all the other theaters. I wish it was getting Kung-Fu Hustle right now, cause I want to see it.

At the Lloyd Center 18, Sin City stays on two screens, including the largest one in the theater. Sahara is in the second biggest theater and has two showings, as does Fever Pitch.

Crowd Report: UK
Movie: THE RING TWO
Showing: 7.00 Tuesday
90% Full
Trailers:
War Of Worlds- (buzzing through this. chatting after it)
Batman Begins- (no reaction, actually a couple of moans- guess horror audience arent interested)
Seed of Chucky- (no reaction whatsoever, really does look shite)
The Amityville Horror- Brought the house down. Everyone was buzzing)
Movie: 8.5/10.
Really enjoyed this, especially with the massive crowd. Surprised to see such a big crowd on a week day for a horror but it's because of the easter holidays (2 weeks). There was plenty of jumps, and a couple of screams and i could see lots of girls with their hands over their faces. One of my friends had her jacket over her face for most of it.
Pretty scary stuff, fantastic set peices, nice story and brilliant performances.
Top class sequel, i loved it.

on my theatres site it says Fever Pitch + American Dad on 2 screens. Anyone know what that's about? Sahara is also getting 2, and Sin City stays on 2, including the biggest one.

Oh, right. Fever Pitch has a 3-minute short general "advertisement" for that American Dad show attached to it. Or, it did when I saw the sneak preview, at least.

Well, I'll be seeing either Fever Pitch or Sahara tonight, depending on which one I make it to (or if there's a sellout).

Hey, Libs, as a die hard Yankee fan, would I hate it?

I was leaning towards that, actually. Reviews have been great and WOM has been positive. I like Jimmy Fallon, and though I loathe baseball (unless I'm playing it, heh), I think I might like it.
Sahara looks good, but nothing I would rush out to see. I'm just bored tonight.

No, you could probably hate baseball itself and still like the movie.
No, Baba, I liked it.

I will try my best to fit it in this weekend since you like it enough to recommend it more than once at the forums, although it's not showing at my theater, so it's a little drive to get there. I still have rentals, too.

I'm going to multiple parties Friday and Saturday and hanging out with someone both days, so don't think I'm going to have time to see anything except on Sunday, in which case I'll either see two movies back to back with some friends (either two of the following: Guess Who;Fever Pitch;Sahara or two of the following: Gunner Palace/Schutlze Gets the Blues/Melinda and Melinda) or just Sin City or Sahara with a different group.
