I know most of the story as well but I'm still excited by the things I don't know. Which are big things. Where's Luke? Supreme leader Snoke look like? Who are the kids related to? Space battle?? Things like that can't wait baby!!!

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
So I'm currently boozing it up at California Adventure on my last day at Disney. I've been to the "Season of the Force" and it's incredible. The Star Wars themed Space Mountain is absolutely the best thing ever. I loved every second of it. And the new Star Tours location is awesome with Jakku and other surprises. From what I've seen, everyone is all on board for the new movie and everybody loves BB-8. Disneyland Star Wars is the greatest thing ever.

That has nothing to do with the Star Wars soundtrack that was leaked.

Just saw a Duracell commercial. SPOILER alert... The little girl imitating Rey had Jedi powers.
So that settles that.

Waited about 100 minutes for Hyperspace Mountain cause they ran out of fast passes, god. Which character did you get in the middle of Star Tours? I got BB-8. I also bought the $16 BB-8 cup thingy, so cute.

I hope there will be another full trailer and not just TV-Spots?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
For any movie, if you make one good teaser and one good trailer, it's really all you need. Then you can just create a poster and a few TV spots and you're golden. Overkill in these departments do not make people MORE excited to see a film. Excitement comes from increasing the customer touch points, not from showing more - this is especially true with hotly anticipated movies.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - GREATEST TRAILER EVER
OK, here it is. Star Wars week is upon us. I've been trying to figure out what personal message to say before the release, but it's hard to come up with something that hasn't already been said by many others. I've gone through all the emotions a Star Wars fan can possibly have. I grew up with it. I don't remember a time where it wasn't apart of my life. I would quote it when I was a child, I used wrapping paper rolls as Lightsabers, I would try and talk like Yoda, all the things a young fan would do. My upbringing with Star Wars isn't a unique tale. It's the expected one.
I've literally written many many things down and deleted them and stated over on describing my feelings towards this franchise. It's hard. Star Wars is apart of my life in more than just the movies. I have Star Wars tattoos, I have a room in my house basically dedicated to it and my wife is my wife because of my love for Star Wars, because she is as big a fan as me.
I'm thinking about how I got here and am reliving the feelings I had in 1999 when the Episode 1 came out and all I wanted to be was a Pod Racer. And when Episode 2 came out and I wanted to marry Natalie Portman. And when Episode 3 came out and was satisfied with the way it all ended. My feelings for the prequels have changed but my love for the franchise hasn't. In 2005 I remember walking out of the theater with the feeling of completion and being ok with that.
Star Wars was over.
But, alas we are here. Days away from a brand new Star Wars movie. Since the announcement Disney's acquisition, I have gone through all the emotions I thought I would never go through again. I was worried when it was announced, excited when JJ was hired, giddy with the news that the original cast was coming back and ready for whatever was going to come my way. I cried when I watched the first full trailer at the reveal of Han and Chewie, I waited in line for Force Friday to buy a bunch of the new merchandise, I panicked when I was trying to buy my tickets for Thursday night and cried again at the trailer from Monday Night Football. It's happening and it's amazing and scary and any other emotion you can think of.
From now on the conversation of the films will never be the same. Fans are going to walk out of the theater and ask "How would you rank the SEVEN Star Wars films?" That's going to be the new question! And it will only grow from there. This is without a doubt the best time to be a Star Wars fan. Everything is about to change and that's exciting. That's more than exciting. I can't even think of a word that describes it and thousands of other fans are with me.
Star Wars is back. And it's here to stay.
And THAT is a wonderful feeling.
