 Halt and Catch Fire (AMC)
Finally got around to starting this and I loved it. What a great pilot - sets up the characters and plot beautifully. I know the buzz started to pick up for it in S2 but it feels excellent from the jump to me.

I'm still on season 1 but I love how it captures how the system hardware was back in the day from floppy drives to DOS programming. It also has the best use of 80s music ranging anywhere from obscure punk rock to new wave.

 Re: Halt and Catch Fire
Wow can't believe how much I loved Season 1 - one of the best first seasons I've seen for a show. I know the critics are jumping on it now but I'm shocked at the lukewarm reception for its first season

The whole Mutiny house with the nerds is the best. In love with this show, damn I wish they had 4-5 seasons in the bank to binge instead of only a few more episodes before I catch up

I don't think the show is going to be renewed for the third season. I do want to find out more about how Gordon will deal with Joe using his anti-virus software to make huge profit. The one where he could have shared profit with Joe had he decided to work for Joe instead of heading to CA to save his marriage.

Re: Halt and Catch Fire (AMC)
I ended up watching the first season again, really one of the most underrated single seasons I can remember of something (considering the bizarre disavowal by TV critics of it compared to Season 2) and works as this encapsulated arc.

Reviews are better than ever and ratings are worse than ever. What else is new!

I started binging this the other day. In the middle of season 2 now. Great show. All the characters are great and I love the dynamics between everyone.
