Quote:
"Zoo" (TV show) is a drama series on CBS that is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by James Patterson. The book was originally published in September 2012 by Little, Brown and Company and was a #1 New York Times bestseller. It's been translated into six languages and has sold more than four million copies worldwide.

The series is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans across the planet. A young, renegade American zoologist who spends his days running safaris in the wilds of Africa, Jackson Oz (James Wolk), begins noticing the strange behavior of the animals. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, he is thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there's no place left for people to hide.

Nora Arnezeder plays Chloe Tousignant, a French investigator who meets Oz while she is on an African safari. Nonso Anozie plays Abraham, a Botswanan safari tour guide with a deep understanding of wildlife — and an even deeper empathy for the struggles of humanity. Kristen Connolly plays Jamie, a passionate young journalist intent on uncovering the story behind the mysterious animal behavior she's been tracking. Billy Burke plays Mitch, an off-kilter animal veterinarian who prefers the simple company of animals to navigating the complexities of humans.

"Zoo" is a CBS Television Studios production. The series will be distributed domestically by CBS Television Distribution and worldwide by CBS Studios International. Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg ("Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and the upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles") of Midnight Radio wrote the script and are executive producers with James Mangold ("Walk the Line," "The Wolverine") & Cathy Konrad ("Walk the Line," "Girl, Interrupted") of Tree Line Films, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, Leopoldo Gout and Steve Bowen.

I'm really looking forward to this. It seems entertaining and James Wolk is probably my biggest celebrity crush right now so that's just a bonus. Such a charming, underrated actor. Hope this is good and a hit so it can continue as a summer series.

Premieres tomorrow (June 30th).

Thank god for DVR since it's on at the same time as Scream :P. I'll be recording both.

I am skeptical of the premise (and unimpressed by the hoary airport-novel Patterson brand), but I dig a few of the stars. It could be a fun summer series. I might give it a shot.

LOL this was absolutely ridiculous. James Wolk is dreamy as always, though.

I DVR-ed it. Could be fun, and I've been a James Wolk fan since [b"Lone Star"[/b] and its two episode run ;) I'll probably watch it in a half hour or so when I get sick of this horrible, bastardized atrocity based on one of my favorite movies on MTV right now ;)

Tried it. Not a fan. It manages the dubious feat of being both absurd and dull.

Yeah, this is lame. One episode is enough for me.

I was curious about this because of the premise, but that first episode was so damn boring. I might still give it a chance down the road, but I'm just not that interested in watching anymore right now.
