Cavs only way to win is slow the game down and be very physical. Can't outscore them so they got to play their best pressure defense and use every second on that shot clock

This should never have gone to overtime. Where's the freaking Russian big man? Smith played with rocks in his head the last two minutes. Coaches left that big man in even though they knew he was gonna be fouled. Like 45 seconds were left on the board because of that incompetence.

I'm not to confident for the Cavs in OT because curry has his confidence back now.

Great great win. Cavs held on. I think this can go seven now based on this effort.

Some of you guys misjudge basketball so much its comical. LeBron is so absurdly good that as long as everybody just isn't terrible, his team will not lose.

Cavs are - CLEARLY - the better team. They SHOULD be up 2-0 going back to Cleveland where they would complete the sweep. 1-1 is fine.

I don't think it goes 7. Cleveland has been the superior team almost the entirety of both games. Now they go to Cleveland.

If Curry doesn't have the worst game of his life the Warriors go up 2-0. If he hits even a quarter of his three point attempts the Warriors go up 2-0.

Curry had the worst game of his life and the Warriors STILL almost went up 2-0.

That didn't happen though and this is undoubtedly the biggest win in Cleveland sports history since 1948.

1) Curry had the worst game of his life because of the Cavs smothering defense. He's a tremendous player but top tier smothering physical defense will shut him down every time. That's why the overall impact of players like Curry largely tend to be overrated. Curry didn't play overly well in game 1 and played terribly tonight. This is much less about Curry and more about the Cavs defense manning up.

2) That point is nullified by Thompson's huge game. It's not like that will happen every night either. You can't just pick one factor and change. An analysis of all factors says have been the much more impressive team thus far in the series.

The Warriors silly little pick plays don't work against a huge physical team like the Cavs, and Curry errant pass at the very end of the game was an obvious example of the team pressing. They had several passes picked of down the stretch for that reason.

The Cavs will keep largely smothering Curry and it should be generally successful. Highly doubt LeBron James keeps going 11-33 or JR Smith keeps playing like rap or Thompson only takes a handful of shots, etc. I don't know how Warriors fans could actually watch the games and feel overly confident regardless of the record.

The Cavs should be up 2-0 right despite injuries, playing Oakland, etc because they are largely the much better team.

If it wasn't obvious before, it should be now.

LeBron James is the best basketball player in history. LBJ + any 4 moderately competent individuals and even the dumbest of coaches will playing extremely competitively against any team of any style.

Over the course of a game, LeBron is like 10 different players depending on the series. His versatility is simply unmatched and he is elite level in pretty much way.

Cavs needs to keep the heat up, point blank. They lost energy and focus down the stretch of game 1 and it cost them. Focus and they shouldnt lose, LeBron is too good.

Yeah, both teams could have said they should be up 2-0; in the end, 1-1 is a fair result after 2 OT games.

Warriors' defense has been fine; it's their offense that need to perform better after ranked #2 in the regular season, and I expect them to do so the next couple of games. And when Lebron had to carry a team by himself in the finals before (i.e. in 2007 and 2014), his team only won 1 out of 9 games, so the depth of Warriors still makes them the favorite going forward.

Their offense is a terrible match up against the Cavs big men. It just is. Smothering and physical defense by Cleveland will own GS every day.

Even tonight when the refs did all they could to give GS the game, they couldn't. I think a lot of folks here misjudge the match ups.

Physical with finesse will win almost every team, in any sport.

So smothering he got away 15 3-pt shots. SMOTHERING! If he hits three, they win.

But Xi is right. With it so easy to say on both sides that both teams should've won, 1-1 is probably where it should be.

Most of his 3s were hideous shots he should not have taken. His air ball at the end killed me. So sure, he "got away" 15 shots, but only because most of them were prayers.

Deli is the key to the series. He's shutting Curry down, and if he can continue to contribute on offense the Cavs will win.

I don't understand why Blatt refuses to play Mozgov in the fourth. He's been the only one getting easy buckets.

I definitely overreacted to the significance of irving's injury. offensively, Irving is still missed as Dellavedova still has trouble running the offense but Lebron will just do his thing to even it out. defensively, as great as Irving's blocks and steals were in Game 1, Dellavedova's smothering defense and hustle plays was that much more crucial to getting Curry out of the game.

Cleveland has definitely been the better team the first 45 minutes of both games, they just need a way to maintain some energy at the end of the game, GSW now needs to be the team making adjustments to improve their first quarters, I would like to see Kerr starting Iguodala giving him more ball-handling duties and let Curry play off-the-ball more.

If the Warriors offense clicks in the Cavs won't be able to score enough to beat them. Not enough guys and Iggy can limit Bron's %. I expect GSW to be a passing buzzsaw in G3 like Spurs in Miami last year

Yah everyone is thinking Cleveland has a chance now. GSW will set everyone back in their place after a blowout road win.
Hate to say it but that's what's going to happen. :(

It isn't unprecedented. We've seen great players go limp in the finals before. LeBron in 2011 and Harden in 2012 are the biggest recent examples.

I'm sticking with my prediction of the Cavs losing in the most devastating way possible though.

I mean...

1) LeBron played historically well
2) Steph played historically badly
3) The Cavs barely won

1) The Warriors' defensive strategy is to let LeBron do what he wants and limit everybody else. So he'll keep getting these numbers.
2) Steph played badly both games.
3) The Cavs barely won ... with $40M+ sitting on the bench in suits. GS should be blowing them away but the series is still even. This is probably a sweep with Love, Varejao and Irving.

Golden State should be doing better. LeBron and what he is doing is historic, and if he and Cleveland can pull this off it will be HUGE.
