Warriors unfortunately seem too good to lose a series.

The Hawks are disappointing. I really didn't expect them to lie down like this.

 Re: NBA Thread - #ThanksPhil!!
Yeah, The Warriors are proving more and more that they are one of the better teams in history, with Curry and a great bench. I still wish Spurs could have advanced to play them here; at least they have a much more balanced team unlike Clippers and Rockets. Think Lebron could win 2 games for Cavs, but that'll be it.

 Re: NBA Thread - #ThanksPhil!!
Cleveland has been more impressive than GSW in the playoffs, and I think Cleveland has a 50/50 shot at the championship:
Cleveland: * swept Boston who had the second best East record post-all star break * became an even better team after stat-padded Kenin Love's injury (just like Warriors becoming a better them by heavily reducing David Lee's minutes) * Kyrie Irving's injury is not that significant after Houston, Clippers, Washington also can win this postseason without their starting PG, if anything it makes their offense less predictable and harder to game plan against * took control of Chicago despite being down 2-1, Lebron has truly stepped up to the next level this year with the full confidence of a championship veteran during high pressure * Atlanta is their easiest opponent of their postseason, and Cle has played like it and took care of business
GSW: * Pelicans had some close games when they should've been blown out every single time * allowed Memphis to be up 2-1, yes Cle did the same with Chicago but Chicago was widely expected to win the series after Love's injury while Memphis wasn't. * allowed Houston to keep it close the first two games when they should've been blown out every single game; if Dwight didn't get injured Game 1 and harden got a successful shot at Game 2 Houston could've been up 2-1 * no championship experience, haven't been tested in true high pressure moments; postseason so far has not lived up to dominance of regular season
this will be more evenly matched than people think. I see Cleveland stealing 1 of the first two games, they just need to find a way to win two of their home games then could be up 3-2 with two shots of winning the championship. I'm rooting for GSW though.

The Finals is 2-2-1-1-1 now
Cavs have played as well as the Warriors but I just can't believe their roster is this good sustainably. JR, Shumpert, Tristan and Mozgov are legit role players, not 2011 Chandler, Marion, Terry and Kidd who were called role players but had at least been pedigree players for a long time

 Re: NBA Thread - #ThanksPhil!!
Warriors' post season point differential so far is +9.2, not that far from +10.1 that they accumulated in the regular season. Cavs have certainly improved in the playoffs and seen their margin jumped from 4.4 to 7.5, but that's still a little way behind, and as Shack said, I believe it's more likely they will regress toward the mean down the road.

Plus the western teams are so much better, Memphis and the Rockets would kill Atlanta and Chicago and it wouldn't even be close.

So far GSW has been pretty healthy, but for sure Dellavedova will injure one or two of their players. If he aims for Curry's ankle, then Cavs would easily have the upper hand.

No team should ever do that it is cheating.

I never expected Deli to become known outside of Cleveland, much less inFamous.

Steph Curry just hit his head really hard on the floor. These playoffs continue to be brutal. I hope he's OK!

He is fine and actually came back. I didn't expect them to win 2 straight in Houston. They will end it in Game 5.

 Re: NBA Thread - #ThanksPhil!!
One extra day won't really matter. Both teams get a break. I pick the Warriors in 7, but I wouldn't be shocked if they win in 5. They are the best home and road team, and are just an incredible team.

 Re: NBA Thread - #ThanksPhil!!
Warriors will end this in 6 although a part of me does want Lebron to win just so the Cavs as an organization and a city will have that in their legacy. Lebron will have nothing more to prove essentially. It will just be gravy from that point, but I really think the Warriors are just too good this year and it will be as in Cleveland's past attempts that Lebron will be unable to do everything himself.

 Re: NBA Thread - #ThanksPhil!!
Meh, I don't wanna get too optimistic, but I don't see why GS is that much better. While everyone complains about the weakness of the East, GS sure did draw some luck. I highly doubt they would have made short work of the Clippers or Spurs like they did with the very-lucky-to-be-there Houston Rockets. Golden State is certainly healthier right now, but they've had concussion scares for their two best players in back to back games. If one of them has to miss any time I'm not how GS Is gonna get to 100 points. However, I'm also not expecting the Cavs' role players to continue to play like all stars the entire series as they did with Atlanta. Tristan Thompson will wreak havoc on the boards, but they're really gonna need Smith, Shumpert and Dellevadova to keep up with the GS 3-point barrage. LeBron's long range game has been crap this postseason .. until you get to the final minute of the game. It is a very even series. It's like Fast and Furious 6, where the villain team is full of dopplegangers. LeBron is Vin, Kyrie is the Rock, Kevin Love is Paul Walker ( ) , Tristan is Tyrese, Dellevadova is Giselle, etc...
