Man, they're gonna stretch Homeland out to like 10 seasons aren't they? I dunno about that... I don't think Claire Danes will stick around for more than 6-7 seasons, so they'll probably stop then.

ABC has yanked Selfie from the schedule, effective immediately. It will be replaced with Shark Tank reruns.

It's a damn shame Selfie got cancelled but even more shameful that it won't be able to finish it's run.

The Mindy Project gets 6 more episodes for a total of 21 episodes this season. If my math is right, the show will have 67 episodes by season 3. I'm crossing my fingers for a 4th season. http://deadline.com/2014/11/the-mindy-p ... 201284458/

Thank god. I definitely think that means we'll see a fourth season now.

Even though Fox's "Til Death" was not owned by the network and got horrible ratings, it still lasted 4 seasons for a total of 81 episodes in it's run. I can't see why FOX won't give this a fourth season at this point.

Yeah, Mindy has defied the odds and seems set for a fourth season now.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2014-2015 Edition
If my memory serves right, every show that premiered in 2004 & onwards that got to a third full season (if the show had 66 episodes or more in its whole run by the end of season 3) was renewed for a 4th season. Veronica Mars, Suburgatory, Body of Proof, and Happy Endings did get to season 3 but were all cancelled and they had less than 66 episodes in its whole run by season 3 at that time. There hasn't been a show that got cancelled after 66 episodes or more since Hope and Faith, when it got the axe in 2006. I'm confident it will get a fourth season at this point and based on past trends. Meanwhile, Netflix is in talks with reviving A&E's Longmire for a 4th season. http://deadline.com/2014/11/longmire-se ... 201280496/

"Happy Endings" had a full 22 episode season for season 3 and was canceled.

CBS has decided to cancel The Millers. Looks like Mom will stay on Thursdays.

Good. It sucked and everyone in the cast was better than it.

The Millers' cancellation is actually sort of shocking in that it was a sophomore show canceled in the middle of November. Can't think of too many examples of that.
And agreed with thompsoncory. It was a bad show wasting a great cast who deserved better.

That's pretty shocking, Cancellation Bear had it as certain to be renewed. CBS usually either cancels after one year or knows they have a long term show.

That should was definitely lead-in dependent. Oh well, at least Mom should get to stay on Thursday nights now.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2014-2015 Edition
The Millers' cancellation almost feels unprecedented, at least in the last decade. Someone at CBS must have hated the show because despite its bad-by-CBS-standards numbers, it wasn't atrocious. I think the sheer size of the cast, and the notable names involved, must mean a fairly big budget for a sophomore comedy, which maybe played a big part?
Best cast on TV paired with the worst writing. For a string of maybe seven or eight episodes last year, it was actually a good show. But they lost what little spark they had. Adding Sean Hayes wasn't just misguided, it was wrong to add to an already bloated cast that rarely allowed anyone individually to shine.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2014-2015 Edition
The Sean Hayes Curse is busy this week. TVLand has cancelled Hot in Cleveland after six seasons and 128 episodes. A respectable number all things considered.
The sad part: probably Betty White's final starring role on TV. Hate to be morbid.
Although for the few times I watched here and there, I defy anyone to find a happier group of four working on television. I could be way off, but there was serious chemistry in the cast of previous sitcom stars.

Secrets & Lies and "American Crime" switch nights. Clearly, ABC wants to give "American Crime" the best possible lead-in and will premiere Thursday, March 5th after Scandal while Secrets & Lies will premiere after OUAT on Sunday, March 1st. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2014/1 ... es/329680/
