Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
I wonder if NBC will ever publicly cancel (or, doubtful, renew) Dracula. Do series ever just not return without an actual it-is-canceled press release?

In fact, unless it's a long running series that they're choosing to end, I don't think press releases or big announcements are common. It's usually just axed quickly and quietly, usually when it's not on the schedule at the upfronts in May and the network confirms it's canceled. Dracula might not be totally dead because apparently it's a super cheap investment for NBC due to the European rights or something, but its fate probably hinges on how Hannibal performs in the same time slot. If it does the same or a little better, Dracula is done, especially with Hannibal's critical acclaim.

If they bring back Heroes with a new cast, new writers and especially a new showrunner, it might be good.

I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT "MINDY"!!!!!
The best comedy on TV and the only bubble show I was really worried about this year.

So we can see Fox hit below 1.0 next season with all those renewals?

New Girl was obvious but SOOOO happy Brooklyn Nine-Nine got a renewal. Sort of surprised Mindy Project got one too.
And LOL The Following lives to lumber another season.

Woo! THE MINDY PROJECT! Awesome show! Better than New Girl for sure. I hate to say that though as I adore Zooey.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
I really like Raising Hope but it had a good, solid run. 88 episodes is nothing to sneeze at. So I'm OK with it ending, especially since this season has only been OK IMO. I'll miss Martha Plimpton and Garret Dillahunt's performances a lot.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
I wonder if FOX will keep around Enlisted. It's well-reviewed and it has the potential to be able to pull in around what their other comedies do. Not that those would be great numbers, but I could see it growing a bit. Friday is obviously not a great night to air. If they renewed it next year maybe they could air it after Brooklyn Nine-Nine with the other Tuesday comedies.

It really should be airing on Tuesday nights. "Enlisted" is hilarious.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
I really disagree it's "disgusting" it got a pickup, lol. I know people on this board seem to detest the show mostly because it's so popular but it's popular for a reason. It's sitcom comfort food with reasonably good writing and acting.
A three-year pickup deal is pretty monumentous, though. Apparently the license fee is $5-6 million per episode, which is pretty insane. This means it'll be on the air at least 10 seasons...wonder if it'll go longer?
